Rod and assistants need to draw up some actual scoring plays that others have used recently against the Devils. Real strategy vs slinging the puck to the net from the left corner or blue line and hoping it sneaks in.

There, I said it. Coaching.

And good solid consistent goalie play.

A forecheck that actually creates turnovers and scoring opportunities would be nice. Instead of just slinging it across the boards and/or turning the puck over for opponent odd man rush chances. We have turned the puck over entirely too much. Looking at you Burns.

Those odd man rushes have been a result of teams figuring out that our D pinches between the blue lines and we get caught flat footed.  Burns gets lazy and can’t get back. Slavin covers for him sometimes. Teams have figured out us and if they have speed, we struggle. Honestly, that’s why we struggle against bad teams because most of them are fast.   Young and fast but less on skill. They have more speed than skill.

with chatty we play better because his skill on D matches that speed.

Our forecheck is our biggest strength.  Lately on that forecheck we get to cute.

we will be fine 😉

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
