The Matt Moore throw "in question"

It wasn't very good either. Moore tossed it up and Smith adjusted to the route and made the catch. The only reason it worked was that Davidson hadn't gone with playaction and a deep pass all day. The Bucs secondary was completlely surprised. Most of us at the time were calling for a play action deep pass for the better part of 2 quarters.

In the end, any completed pass is a good pass and after the troubles we have had with the deep ball, we will all take it. But it doesn't portend anything nor does it demonstrate any great touch.

Remember this isn't Moore versus Jake but Moore versus making the squad next year. Like it or not Jake has a 20 million guaranteed contract so he is more likely to be here next year than Moore. Moore is a free agent after this season and unless he impresses he will gone. He can be better than Jake and still be gone.

You can debate if Moore is gonna be here next year or not all you want. The point of this is that it WAS a good throw and it was a throw Jake hasnt been able to do all year long. That is all. Nobody has even mentioned about whether or not him or Delhomme will be here next year, yet you keep beating that drum over and over for whatever reason.

And you keep debating whether Jake or Moore are better and that is a totally dead issue. Why keep bringing it up? Moore is the starter and Jake is likely through this year unless Moore sucks it up.

My issue about whether or not Moore plays well enough to be here next year is a lot more relevant to the Panther's future than who finishes out a losing season.

Read the title. This is about Moore's throw, then you come in here and talk about Moore may not be here next season and say it was a bad throw. It's like you are butt hurt Moore did something Jake wasn't able to do all this season and have to throw your own disdain into the convo.

it isn't a totally dead issue when John Fox is the HC....and will look at someone with a straight face and say injury is the only reason Jake isn't still starting.

All that effects Moore's shot and to see if his glimpse of potential really means anything.......I am w/ Zod and the others....Fox is dumb enough to start Jake again and do it this week.

I doubt it. Moore will get a shot just like Weinke did. And if he plays well against NE, he will get another start. If he screws up then it is less clear. Fox won't play him regardless of his performance but Moore will start this week. It goes to show you that a 73 is nothing that will secure your starting role from week to week unless you have proven youself in the past which Moore hasn't done yet based on only 4 games in his career.
