Canes Vs islanders game 3 Friday

Like I said, we ran Raanta ragged. There is no way he should have been playing tonight. But our forecheck lost it in the third period. Rod needs to get the boys in practices, we also at had a road win until we literally asked our goalie who is up there in years(at least hockey wise) to stand on his head and we did nothing to help him. At that point just ice the puck continually until you can find a breakaway. This was 100% self inflicted. But I don’t think we are going to have the same issues Sunday.

We don’t have enough, plain and simple.

Aho, Necas, and KK aren’t providing anything.

Noesen, Jarvis, and Drury are bottom six players.

Martinook is just a body right now.

Stastny, Stepan, and Puljujarvi provide no offense whatsoever.

You can’t go from

Svechnikov - Aho - Pacioretty

Teravainen - Kotkaniemi - Necas

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Noesen - Stepan - Jarvis

To

Drury - Aho - Jarvis

Noesen - Kotkaniemi - Necas

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Stepan - Stastny - Puljujarvi

And expect to compete…

The fact that we are up 2-1 in the series just shows how trash New York is, but regardless we are delaying the inevitable, the Rangers would sweep us.

Everyone in New York is apparently fat as fug. What an obesity epidemic.

It's Long Island, lol. Picture Gastonia. If there was ever such a term as a northern redneck ... you'll find them on LI, or Staten Island, or Jersey. They can't afford the big city.

Yeah it's a VERY small pocket up here where civilized people live lol. The rest are morons.

Lived in a small town outside Gastonia for years. Back then it was the west side that was backwoods, Gastonia east side toward Belmont is no worse than a lot of Charlotte these days.

What do you do when your regulars don’t score? Sit Pulju and put MacEachern or someone else on the ice whose been scoring with the wolves anf just brought up. Can’t hurt any worse than we are and might help.

Do you follow a team? Rangers?

Nah, and I don't know why really. Hockey is so fun! I guess bc I lived 18 yrs in Charlotte and could never connect with the Canes so hockey was always meh. But damn, the Rangers are like ... right here. I barely even follow NYCFC too. There's just too many sports. I just stick to Panthers and Yankees.

Gotta feel bad for Raanta, you could tell after he made that diving save he was gassed, just about 5 minutes short of 3 games in a row. The 5 in front of him completely imploded, absolutely no control, not getting out of the zone so bad matchups. The game clock isn’t 56 minutes, it’s 60. Gotta play like it’s 60+ in the playoffs. Freddie better draw in Sunday and we need to walk out 3-1.

You should check a game out. I wasn’t a huge fan until I went to a game in person and it helps when the team is good like the Rangers.

    • "by name"?  You mean they are letting him say he is retiring or stepping down? That's even more embarrassing than being fired (he basically quit) and so transparently false that the media will kill him and this university.  If this happens, I may just turn full fledge to an SMU fan since I live in Dallas now. I'm just about sick of this university's approach to basketball and football.
