are u high sir???? do forget the commercial where vick throws the ball out of the stadium?(that wasnt real tho) the point is throwing power isnt a issue here. its the one reason vick haters havent been able to put him at rb or wr. its his acc. that is the issue. vick is alot of things but i promise theres not 5 qbs in the league with a "stronger" arm than vick. vick has seen at most what 25 snaps this season and has almost more tds than jake and more than moore whos started 2 games. the reason u dont see him lighting it up as u state is because it disrupts the offense. if u have 2 qbs u dont have one. u dont become the nfls highest paid qb(was before arrest)without being talented.

BOTTOM LINE: vick could come down here and flame out. but we ve seen worst this season and he is prob better than most options out there this season. at his age he's prob just a stop gap but isnt that what were looking for until we groom the future franchise qb?

Your barking up the wrong tree here. He was the Falcons. To most that is unforgivable. Me I wanted him when he was first available this year. He was cheap and we need a Franchise QB and IMO he was the only one available that even had a chance of developing into one. Not saying he can be anymore but you have to admit the guy was one of the most exciting players in the league to watch and I would love to see him in a Panthers uniform.

Yes. Although I don't think many Panthers fans can get beyond their holier-than-thou high ideals (which border on the hypocritical when you look at the bigger scheme of things), I don't think it would really hurt to let him compete for a spot if it came down to it.

As for it being stupid...it can't be any more stupid than re-upping Jake, and backing him up with Moore (or less), McCown and Feeley.

"I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!!!!!"

I actually tend to prefer Black QBs. They are usually far more athletic and bring more to a more creative O coordinator. I think its a huge untapped resource in the Pros.

True dat.

McNabb, Vick, Jason Campbell, Tavarious Jackson= Very Athletic

Manning, Brady, Delhomme, Rivers, Brees= Not So Athletic

Forget the whole felony, bad character, media nightmare thing about Vick. The dude sucks at playing QB.

whatever u dont become the highest paid qb for sucking at ur job. bottomline vick wins games and got the falcons to the post season 2 times. once beating all pro qb brett farve. the kids a winner thats all that matters, or we can take ur idea draft skinner and watch him take us to the offseason lol

Will JR still own the team next year? Because until that change happens, Vick will not be a Panther!

well then jr is doing his franchise a dis-service not fielding the best possible team. its not so much the owner while the owner has the final word its gonna take a coach like the a.reid to go to the owner and ask for his blessing. im sure if u bring in the right coach he ll take a shot on this. vick is becoming a hot prospect for the offseason since hes heating up in dec. on countdown it was noted the rams are discussing signing him now...

    • I'd like to see the gameday chats come back, especially if you can get it mobile compatible and like those support chats that stay on the screen even when you move around the site. We could use them during CLTFC and Hornets games now too.
    • There's a lot of truth here, but at the same time, that one year of production we might be paying for is actually paying for a development arc. And a lot of players have those. QB is the most complicated position in sports, hands down.  I'm not saying Bryce will make it past the hump this year, the odds are stacked against him just like any QB in the league that isn't already considered an elite player (and there are only about 5-8 of those at most). Arcs happen, and slow arcs happen, too. Sam Darnold seemed a wash up for the Jets and a horrible mistake. He was better with us, but still couldn't carry a bad team on his shoulders (or bad coaching). He went to Minnesota and got a shot under better coaching with more mature eyes to see the field. Something sparked and then he took his team to the Super Bowl and brought home a ring. Baker Mayfield had a similar arc, and may yet hit the big game. Hell, locally, Jake Delhomme had one. Or Bryce could flutter back down having already hit his peak. It happens. More often than any of us want to admit. We've paid for a full development arc for Bryce, but we've had it on rookie deal rates and that's been a savings that has let us build out the rest of the team, which was really needed. Maybe we end up diving back into the QB pool in the first round next season. Might be the guy, might not.  But he'll be set up with a better team that Bryce was when he started. Or maybe, just maybe, Bryce adds another seven TDs and loses four INTs on the season. Grabs three more wins and maybe a playoff win, maybe two. It's not completely impossible and that'd be great for the team and for him.  We're just going to have to tune in and see how it plays out. Probably won't be boring.
    • I am holding out hope for a miraculous run this season. But you know the narrative around him is peak delusional when the Panthers social team can post this without even a hint of irony. Four years and almost 50 games into his career he still looks like he's never set foot in the weight room. Really?
