If Delhomme Starts Sunday....

We will win the game... :yikes:

Honestly, Delhomme HAS SUCKED big time this season, but he is not a bad QB. He is just in a bad funk this season.

Kurt Warner was in the same funk with the Giants and look at him now.

Delhomme gives us our BEST chance to beat a team like the Vikes, I know you guys hate to hear that, but its the truth.

You dont go to a guy with a few starts over someone with YEARS in this offense.

Jakes finger was never broke, his confidence was. Now he has nothing to screw up (season wise), has sat a few games and been able to get his crap together.

If moor couldnt beat a struggling Pats team, then Fox knows his only hope is to go to Jake against the 1 loss Vikings.

Jake starts= we win... Dont ask why, i just have a feeling.

he isn't in a funk....he is just finished.

Matt Moore can at least hit the deep pass....2 starts....hit Smitty twice. Jake hasn't hit it once.....usually gets an open Smith picked.

Moore couldn't beat the Pats on the road....Jake couldn't beat the Bills at home.

only team they both have played against...Moore>Jake.

Both are bad options....Jake is a is a worse option even when 100%. With a slightly messed up finger.....it is almost unimaginable....but I believe he does play.

Matt Moore UNDERTHREW Steve Smith yesterday just as bad as Delhomme has this season...

Jake is in a funk- he still has a strong arm, he is just off. It happens in football, anyone with half a brain understands that.

Delhomme is no Ryan Leaf, and if he does play Sunday I expect a big game from him.

No he didn't....not as bad as Jake. Smith got a TD on a slightly underthrown ball. Jake turns Smith into 100% a defender and hasn't hit it once....getting an open Smitty easily picked multiple times.

Jake is done....it happens. It happens with all players eventually...nothing to suggest Jake is just in a funk. We already let him try to play out of it....he just isn't an NFL QB any longer.

AK I used to like most of your posts.

But this season you have been spewing garbage. What the fug is wrong with you dude?

You seriously need to start thinking.

Your D-will and Delhomme obsession is getting old.

If you think Delhomme is a better option you must be drinking from the same water hole as Sarah Palin.

Im not talking about the TD throw- Im talking about the long throw on the right side that was thrown with 2 guys DRAPED all over Smith, it was underthrown, he had to come back to the ball and make sure it wasent intercepted...

I mean poo happens, but I would go with Jakes experience against Brett Farve and the Vikes.

You have to have someone who can get 30 points on the board, and thats something JAKE HAS DONE- Moore has not.

jake is finished people

just come to terms with it

you make his career coming to a close out like the death of a family member

he's a terrible QB now, the Panthers are better off looking for the future QB, it's over

Delhomme might be terrible now, but he is not done in the NFL, and we will finish better than this.

His personality wont allow otherwise. A guy who is a leader like that doesnt finish like this.

You should at least agree with that...

Well, answer me this....in what game did Jake hit the deep pass to Smith? What happens when Smith gets open on the deep ball and Jake throws it? Plus, Jake is just painful to watch in the pocket now.....you want Jake behind center with the Viking DL??? That is a guarantee fumble at least once.

that pass was more Moore not seeing the Saftey and Smitty not really being open imo.

    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
    • Depends if they see the writing on the wall with their roster and contracts and decide to bite the bullet and begin a complete rebuild and roster overhaul.  I have no clue why some franchises (IE us) refuse to do this and keep half assing trying to win 8 games or so.  Do it correctly, take your lumps and build a contender.  We shall see what loomis decides.
    • Each team plays 17 games.  I do not see why they don't just have each team play one international game per year.  Neutral site game, 8 home, 8 away.
