From what I can get out of the articles, apparently she (his girlfriend, fiancee, whatever) was driving away and he jumped onto the pickup and they continued fighting or maybe he was just making sure she didn't get away. At some point he was ejected from the vehicle. One of the twitter accounts says that she was questioned then released.

The Twitter accounts they are getting news from are radio stations, news stations and such. Also, there are articles on major sports websites that give the same information at this point.
