Peyton

I can't find anyone better. I look at the Colts and I see this:

1. A crap D.

2. A so-so O-line.

3. A pathetic run game.

4. Good receivers.

Add in the best QB ever and you get an undefeated team.

Montana had tons of talent around him. Bradshaw, the same. Peyton has himself.

I wish, wish, wish, wish we had a good QB.

Almost seems to be too much of a perfectionist to ever be able to coach. His QB's would have a very hard time playing up to the level that he would want them to.

That said.

This year he has a chance to put some of his skeletons away. He needs to win in the playoffs, and win another SB before he is granted GOAT...IMO.

He has struggled in the playoffs his entire career.

The SB thing is such a bullpoo measuring stick for QBs. There are so many things that go into a world championship team and the QB is just one piece. I know people do it but it still annoys me.

Record 101-59

Comp/Att/% 2,874-4,779 60.1%

Career yards 35,467

TD/INT 237-175

Career Rtg 84.4

1st ballot NFL HOF

Univ of Miami HoF

4 pro bowls

1 first team All Pro selection

2 second team All Pro selections

4 consecutive SB appearances

0 SB wins

Jim Kelly was more than just a good QB.

Who said that he wasn't?

People are talking about Peyton being the best of all time. IMO he can achieve that status with some better play in the postseason either this or next year.

Montana is the GOAT, not just for his regular season play, but also for his post season play. Many mat go ahead and crown Peyton, but I am not there.....yet. Let him smoke through the playoffs this season, and at least get to the big game, and I will start considering him in GOAT talk.

Anyone else get the feeling that PEyton runs that team more so than Caldwell?

I got that feeling with Dungy too.

But its Tom Moore, who I ask myself why is he even there, Peyton is QB/OC

What does he even do call run or pass, and Peyton picks the play, I would assume petyon has Veto power over anything offensively.

Nobody said he wasnt. I was making the point the Kelly was a great QB that had zero SB rings. If Peyton never gets another one it shouldnt cause people to think less of him. I just think the team achievement of winning a championship should have only a very small part in evaluating a QBs career.

Not saying that I will think less of him, but I will not be calling him the best of all time....sry.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
