I Would Be Willing To Keep John Fox

Hayden Panettiere

My vote, not that it matters, I want him gone.

I've seen enough.

I don't want to give Fox and Hurney another year to run this franchise into the ground with its piss poor draft picks and free agent moves.

Out out damned spot.

Sure the draft picks could have been better sometimes, but for the most part I don't think they have done a bad job of drafting. Just look at how many good players on our team right now were drafted by us. Smitty, Moose, Peppers, Gross, Otah, Kalil, Double Trouble, Beason, Davis, Gamble, Marshall, and hell even Captain has been a awesome surprise.

Yeah, you can't argue with their ability to draft. Almost all of our first rounders end up successful, and almost all of them play at a pro bowl level. I think last year was a rare f**k up with the draft, but I guess they thought Peppers would be gone or would definitely leave the next year. When you compare the Panthers picks to other teams, the Panthers are one of the better teams.

I don't have a problem with drafting, I have a problem with play calling and dumb contract extensions/franchise tagging.

You do realize, that Smith, Moose were not drafted by Fox. Neither was the recently departed Jenkins.

Those players, have not done anything collectively, no fault of their own...no playoff victory...when they do, we can talk.

There are also players that they could have gotten for equal or better value without giving up their number ones. Chris Johnson in the 2nd rd vs. drafting Stewart in the first, and then giving up a #1 for Otah.

Remember, their great draft day moves, when San Francisco picks, probably #10 in the draft this year.

Their moves with Peppers and Delhomme crippled this team and they knew better, those were moves of desperation. I think the cover store of the forum says it best. I am not so sure that Gamble is worth what he is paid, or Marshall worth his either.

Gross yes. Otah, who can't stay on the field, and Kalil, the jury is still out on.

You are right, some of them were not drafted by Fox but I was simply pointing out how much of our talent was from the draft and how a large amount of them HAVE been from Fox.

Sure we could have picked Chris Johnson in the second, but hindsight is 20/20 and I am pretty damn happy with Stewart, especially considering his character off the field.

I agree that some of the moves we have made have been bad, especially the Delhomme deal. However, mistakes like those aren't only made in Carolina. Look around the league and I think you will see that we are above average in the front office.

I seriously don't understand how some people can defend Hurney as GM.

His small fraction of good draft picks doesn't excuse how mediocre of a GM he actually is. He has made countless bad moves and has crippled our cap with dumbass contracts.

In my opinion, our front office is better than most would like to admit. Do they ever screw up? Ofcourse, but so do most front offices. I'm grateful our front office is as good as it is.

Your opinion may be different, and I respect that. No one is right or wrong really. We just simply disagree and that is fine.

Getting rid of Fox would be a hugh mistake. We just need to find a quality QB and thats not going to be easy. How many times has Dallas changed coaches ? Dallas has not won a playoff game in 12 years. There are too many fans on this message board who don't know squat about how to run a professional NFL team. If you want to help the team ,then buy a ticket and go to the games.

Quit all this talk about firing the coach..

Merry Christmas to everyone....From Santa section 136 :)

GO PANTHERS..........................

never heard that one before.

sooooo....what you are saying is that we should follow more the route that the titans have taken. keep a coach for 16 years, draft a couple 1st round QBs, and have one superbowl appearance, no rings, and 6 winning seasons to show for it.

i may not have the experience of running a professional football team that you obviously have (i'm guessing that since you know how to that you probably have), i have experience and a lot of education regarding running a business. i know that you give a manager a job to do and let him have a certain amount of time and freedom to do his job in whatever way he feels will work. i know that if he hasn't gotten the job done in a certain amount of time, i'm not going to be happy with his inability to get it done. if he can't get the job done, i'm going to find someone who can. i'm going to find someone who can manage their resources better.

he's had time and he's had the ability to build the team the way he feels it should be built. he's had the ability to bring in coaches that he wants to work with. he's had his QB.....he's had what he felt he needs to do the job and he hasn't even been able to put together two winning seasons in a row. in fact he's failed to have a winning season in 5 of the 8 years he has been here. he is about as much of a money pit as jake is.

blame it on the QB but that is his QB that he brought in and stuck with for 8 years. blame it on injuries but every team has to deal with them. it isn't an excuse that will fly for long. blame for failing to make this team a consistent winner falls on foxes shoulders.

8 years is enough to see what he is capable of doing here.

List reasons Hurney is a good GM worth keeping around.
