I really hope this didn't get fox off the hotseat

Well I think the odds are pretty good that Fox stays. But he will have alot of pressure on him next season if he does. I'd like to see some moves made like in the 08 offseason when we brought in Vincent, the Hawaiian dude and another guy to compete for right guard. Just in a general sense I think you get alot of bang for your buck with moves like that. And I really don't think we have alot of holes on the team. We could really use a good #2 WR right now but we have the RBs, we have the o-line, we have the TEs, we have the star WR, we have a solid defense, and we have a QB(from what we've seen, crosses fingers/knocks on wood) who can at least keep us competitive for 4 qtrs.

So basically:

Continued success and development of Matt Moore + #2 WR though draft or FA+ Return of several starters and DT's + Interior D-line pressure = Winning season/post season

I will still hold out hope, but considering the CBA situation I think we are unfortunately stuck with him. If I'm JR though, I make sure 2 stipulations are included:

#1: Under NO circumstance should Jake be allowed to start ever again

#2: Get rid of Crossman

This.

If that ass-hat Fox is retained, then he has to make a change with the staff and including his own 'philosophy' needs to be updated.

If there is no change next season I'll probably die.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
