Sorry kids, Jason Campbell is garbage

I've seen more dumb sh#t from Jason Campbell this quarter than I've ever seen from Matt Moore. Not saying Campbell couldn't be better here but some things hes done are not good decisions at all. The blind turn around fling it for pick 6 play, his teams situation didn't make him do that.

You put Peyton Manning behind the Skins o-line right now and he would be garbage.

Having said that, I don't see how Campbell is any better than Matt Moore right now?

Would Peyton have done a 180 and thrown the ball right into the hands of a defender with nobody within 10 yards of him when he's 10 yards from your own end zone? Doubtful.

Why do you guys want him here so badly again? Oh wait, he's #2 behind Carolina Huddle GOD Troy Smith right? :D

Amen, brother. I can't figure out why everybody keeps screaming to get him here. Seems to me everybody tried to blame Carr's sorryness (just made that word up) on his line in Houston, too.

And whats funny is dudes get mad at me for defending the black quarterback and speaking on the bullshit, but Ive always said Campbell dont got it. I dont hype up bums no matter what color they are. I judge players solely by what they do on the field. Campbell aint gonna come here and become Warren Moon folks. There are better options to be had out there, do we got the guts to pull the trigger is the question.

campbell has had a sucky situation from day one. hasn't had a consistent OC. had a bad HC brought in who wanted to turn him into a WCO QB (which he isn't) and then had his team try and trade him off and attempt crazy moves to replace him.

the redskins have been an absolute disaster this year. there is nothing working for them and campbell gets stuck with a lot of the bad wrap.

i'd like to see what he can do on another team. i'm far thinking he's the answer here but i wouldn't absolutely hate the idea. i would have limited expectations of him. ceiling isn't too high.

when all is said and done, i'd think of us as settling for him. i don't really want to 'settle' for a QB.

Levi Jones - street FA

Derrick Dockery - cut by Buffalo, starts for your team

Casey Rabach - mediocre, but on the wrong side of 30

Mike Williams - Looks more like a biggest loser, street FA

Stephon Heyer - undrafted FA that sucks

can't expect too much more with those guys in front of you. surviving might be asking too much.

    • Yeah this needs to happen ASAP. I don’t care if the price is lower. These Vikings fans on Twitter are absolutely insufferable. Acting like they have been world beaters for the last 60 years and thinking Carolina should just hand him over for nothing. We’ve had 7 or so tough seasons in a row and we have still been to two superbowls since they have and won more playoff games since 1995.    I hope Dan sends him to Detroit for a 2040 7th rounder and eats half the contract. Even Sheena is replying to them.
    • I hope your cath went well
    • So did the Panthers initiate this by making him "available for the right price" or was this something Thielen himself pushed for? I also never saw this quote he made about JJ McCarthy back in June. https://sports.yahoo.com/article/panthers-adam-thielen-both-asked-182711572.html Thielen believes McCarthy is built for big moments and will eventually show the world the skillset that won the Michigan Wolverines a national championship in 2023/2024. He even said McCarthy could be the “face of the league.” “I have high expectations for him. I've been able to be around a little bit through some of the time last summer... back in Minnesota, and I think he has the ability to be one of the great quarterbacks this season and the face of this league at some point. You know, I think he's got every tool and intangible that you can have,” Thielen said. “Obviously, it's a difficult league and it's not gonna just be easy, but I think he has the ability to handle adversity to be able to be big in big moments, as you saw when he was in college. I think he's got a great support staff around him, whether it be the coaches or the trainers.” Sounds like he's had one foot out the door for some time now.
