If we were going that route, I'd rather have Armanti..

per http://www.journalnow.net/index.php/app_trail/entry/season-wrap-up-with-jerry-moore

Do you think Armanti Edwards will play in the NFL?

“I really do. I don’t remember the scout’s name, but he’s the one who did the workup on Drew Brees when he was at Purdue, and he says Armanti is just like him, that he’s the same size and everybody worried about the size (of Brees). I think the scouts now realize what a quick delivery Armanti has. He’s smart and he throws in the right places. He’s got a strong arm and I don’t think anybody is going to question his toughness. They’re more and more inclined to be in his corner right now, as a quarterback.”

BYU quarterbacks do not make it in the NFL. Young & McMahon being exceptions.

Remember Detmer? Set all kinds of records at BYU, Heisman trophy winner...NFL bust.

A couple other BYU names to throw out there that did well at BYU but didn't do much in the League:

John Beck (still early, but the job at Miami was his to lose...he lost it)

Brandon Doman

John Walsh

Steve Sarkisian

Robbie Bosco

I'm skeptical of any quarterback coming out of BYU.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
