Probowl selection Peppers/ Williams in Beason out

Well, we know that the Pro Bowl can be a stupid popularity contest some years. Regardless, I love seeing Panthers representing the team in the Pro Bowl.

So, who makes it?

All I know, if Beason doesn't make it, I will completely flip poo. I think he has the best chance to make it from our team and has absolutely lived up to his "Beast" nickname on every single snap through these first 16 games so far.

Peppers is 7th in the NFC regarding sacks. D-Will and J-Stew are both in the top 10 in rushing in the NFC, but I figure both are long shots now, considering Stewart's late surge and Williams' late drop out.

Even though our O-line has been banged up, we have great guys that won't get any attention. However, I think Kalil is a top 5 center in the NFL and deserves a Pro Bowl spot.

Any other input from you guys?

if we're lucky......none.

pro bowl is a joke. just a popularity contest where you play in a meaningless game but still risk injury.

players come back and tell the teams, "hey! i'm popular now and pretty special cause i got this here "honor" so i'm going to need more money cause somehow that makes me more valuable. pay me or trade me."

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
