(By Charles Chandler, Inside the Panthers) The Carolina Panthers already are the sixth team in NFL history with two 1,000-yard rushers in the same season, and they have a chance to become the first with a pair of 1,100-yard rushers.p/Pro Bowler DeAngelo Williams (1,117 yards) already is over 1,100 and Jonathan Stewart (1,008) needs 92 yards Sunday against New Orleans to join him there.

I say they sit Williams and let Stewart get the carries-- but then again if Williams gets 25 yards he will have the most yards of any RB tandem over 1,000

Fox also said they wouldnt necessarily put him on IR..either Smitty is holding out hope to play or maybe he would be ready for the Pro Bowl as an alternate if he isn't IRed..

The thing is though is that I would imagine that when Smith is in the game the Saints will know its going to him. So he's going to have to be in on some plays where the rock isn't going to him.
