Cam Defenders vs Bryce Defenders, maybe a pattern?

I was a rabid Cam defender/fan since day 1 from here to the falcons, saints and bucs boards, various other forums, Reddit, and of course, real life.  He’s one of my favorite athletes in any sport, period.  He was a great guy that caught a hell of a lot of undue hate, criticism and outright racism.  He was an extremely great player that got dealt a pretty raw hand and he was always marginalized by the greater NFL fandom.  If you were an objective fan of the Panthers and Cam then you almost had to defend him because it seemed like us against the world in many ways with the way he was always misrepresented and painted.

Bryce seems like a great guy but he’s done absolutely nothing to impress me on the football field so far.  No one really “hates” Bryce like they did Cam, so I don’t really see what there is to defend.  Maybe I’m just starting to get old, but criticism of his on field play is completely justified so far.  Hopefully he develops into a good QB, but if he doesn’t… well… woo boy are we screwed.

      What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.

      Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
