I Support Peppers' and Fox's Right to Do What They Want...

It's a free country, and they should be free to make whatever decision they want to in terms of their employment. Granted, their decisions will have financial ramifications one way or the other, and it may or may not be the right decision down the road.

As much as we as fans are predisposed and biased towards supporting the organization they work for, the Carolina Panthers, at the end of the day they are employees of the Carolina Panthers and the same rules should apply to them that apply to the rest of us working stiffs.

Case in point, today I found out yet again I would have to take a pay cut from my employer. This is after I endured a six month pay reduction, which was reinstated in October only to be taken away again.

I guess it is irrelevant I lead my company in sales for the year, I am suppossed to be a team player.

Well, F*** that. I outperformed my teammates, and I deserve to be treated differently in terms of compensation. And to be honest if I had a better situation I would leave tomorrow.

I love my teammates (colleagues) and don't even mind my coach (boss). But I have grown to hate the f***ing organization I work for and want out.

However, I want to be unemployed even less. So while my issues are certainly not equated to the same pay grade of Peppers or Fox, my basic issues with my employer may be similar to theirs.

As a fan, I will continue to pull for the Carolina Panthers regardless of what happens, but I do support Peppers and Fox's right to do what they want. I probably will hope they are unsuccessful in their future endeavors though.

Myself, I hope they both stay. But unfortunately, we don't get to make that call but we also don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes or every reason they might have for potentially wanting out.

Just food for thought and an outlet for me to bitch. Thank You

They have contractual cobligations that they OR THEIR LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES agreed to. Without those, I'm with you. But we're not without those.

      Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.

      Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.

      I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
