No BS...it's obvious you guys think the Colts will beat the Saints...tell me why?

agreed, he's the best there is...your latter comment will be the game; can the Colts D match up w/the Saints O. If so, would have to be very fortunate to be in much less win the game. I happen to think we can score on them; they've given up points to bad offenses, so we should be able to score. Don't know that we can keep them under 30 though.

Well you never know Manning could also come out and have one of those games where he over thinks and he might make some mistakes, but I don't think he's done that all year.

against a really good D, maybe, but not us. He will get his. Just like playing the Bulls back in the day, you have to assume MJ would get his 40. Can you hold everyone else. That has to be the way we attack this game.

Before I start, I'll say I don't think it will be a blowout. I think it'll be a close game to the finish. Colts will win though IMO.

1) Colts defense is HUGELY underrated. They held Jets run game to under 100 yards, and Jets run game is the strongest in the NFL.

2) Saints defense relies hugely on mistakes by the opposing team and they're probably the best at capitalizing off of those mistakes, however-- Colts are a team that do not make mistakes like the Vikings did. Sure they might occasionally slip up, but they don't turn the ball over 5+ times in a game. They give up too many big plays and Peyton will take advantage of that.

3) (this one is just for fun) Colts players aren't out partying till 4am less than a week before the SB like Reggie Bush :D

I don't think it will be a blowout. I am hoping it is an offensive fun and gun Superbowl that will come down to the last few possessions. Without Freeney, I am putting a lot of money on the over.

I don't put too much weight into one position unless it's a position like QB that touches the ball every possesion. The Colts have been able to fill in for him when he has been out. They have something like a 9-3 record overall when Freeney has been out. Although they did lose to the Chargers when Freeney missed that playoff game a few years ago.

I just think the Saints are fortunate to even be in the SB after the Minny game. Unless Peyton completely self destructs, I don't see how that Aints defense is going to stop the Colts offense.

it's the only chance we have...Manning will not pull a Favre and cough it up

The whole run the ball and keep Manning off the field really works well, you definitely have a chance with that kind of gameplan, just ask the Jets.

The Colts have not shown us this year how they can lose, or how to beat them, so I don't really see a way. If it's a shootout, I'd take the Colts based on their superior defense being able to slow Brees more than your defense slowing Manning. Yes, you can run the ball MUCH better than they can, but that didn't seem to help the #1 running game in the league a few weeks ago.

The Saints have shown a few ways in which they can lose. The Vikings beat you in every phase of the game except turnover margin.

Your hope in winning is your hope in all the close games you guys won this year, turnovers, and the other team missing field goals. But you never know what can happen, the Giants beat the perfect Patriots a couple years ago and surprised everyone. The Saints will HAVE TO stay on the positive side of turnovers though if they want to have a chance.

agree with most of what you said, but even you would have to admit that Sanchez is no Brees. Brees and our O are our only chance. I actually favor us in a shootout, because it appears if our O gets clicking, it is a better O than Indy. That being said, our D is a liability, no doubt.

I think that this game will be close but you have to give the edge to Manning and the colts. Dwight being hurt hurts them sure, but they have had time to work out a plan if he is a no-go. Your D won't stop Manning. He's gone up against Baltimore and the Jets this offseason. Both teams play agressive blitz schemes like the saints. Both are better at it and other than the first series of the jets game Peyton carved through them both. So it comes down to keeping the ball out of Mannings hands. You do that by running the ball. Once again the colts handled two of the better run teams(Jets being the best in the league). But anything is possible(Giants over pats) so I won't guarantee the colts win but it's hard not to see the colts as the favorite.

Gotta seriously love Peyton, good guy and a good sense of humor. This clip of United Way from Saturday Night Live is absolutely awesome.
