QB's as of this past season- 2009 - 2010 (imo)

Peyton Manning Level: Peyton Manning

Level 1: Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, Brett Favre

Level 2: Phillip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Donavon McNabb, Carson Palmer, Eli Manning

Level 3: Matt Shaub, Matt Ryan, Matt Hasselback, David Gerrard, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Mark Bulger, Kyle Orten

Level 4: Matt Cassel, Mark Sanchez, Joe Flacco, Vince Young, Jason Campbell

Level 5: JeMarcus Russel, Alex Smith, Chad Henne, Matt Stafford, Josh Freeman, Brady Quinn/Derek Anderson, Ryan Fitzpatrick/Trent Edwards

This was just something i came up with in about 10 min, i know some of them can be switched or too high/low, but in general terms this is what (imo) the league looks like in terms of QB. I didn't include a Carolina QB...i don't want to overrate Matt Moore or trash Delhomme too much.

That's bullsh*t. Manning has had Harrison, Wayne, and Clark his whole career. Brady won 3 Super Bowls with less by having an endless rotation of receivers each year and minimal run game.

Ummm no?

Clark has only been there since '03, Wayne since 01 but he didn't really come on till 04. On top of that Peyton has had literally no run game since Edge left. Oh and look what Peyton has done with Garçcon and Collie this year. He makes everyone on that offense better.

Brady on the other hand has traditionally had a great defense on the other side of the ball, and now has considerably better offensive talent around him than Peyton ever has.

The problem is the Colts offensive players have always existed inside of a vacuum. How good is Harrison, Wayne or Clark on another team?

We know how good Welker and Moss were before they got to NE...

Here are their stats since 05'. Pretty close!

Yr Yards TD INT

2005 3576 24 15

2006 4418 26 11

2007 4423 28 18

2008 5069 34 17

2009 4388 34 11

Drew Brees 21874 146 72

Yr Yards TD INT

2005 3747 28 10

2006 4397 31 9

2007 4040 31 14

2008 4002 27 12

2009 4500 33 16

Peyton Totals 20686 150 61

Since no one else is saying his name, How about Baby Bro?

Eli has a Super Bowl ring and dispite not haivng a marquis WR this year, no too shabby stats.

2006 Giants 3244 24 18

2007 Giants 3336 23 20

2008 Giants 3238 21 10

2009 Giants 4021 27 14

No poo, Manning has had the better cast.

Brady won superbowls with Troy Brown, David Givens, Deon Branch, David Patten

Manning did it with Dallas Clark, Marvin Harrison & Reggie Wayne.....all 3 potential HOF

not to mention Edgerrin James

I'd put it Peyton 1A, Brady 1B, & Brees 2

But why are all three potential hall of famers?? I think Manning had everything to do with that.

And Brady is a system QB. Look at Cassell, he flourishes with the Patriots and has an absolute dreadful season with KC. Now I'm not comparing Brady to Cassell, but I'm saying if you put Brady on a team like Detroit or KC, he'll struggle. Put Manning on any of those teams, and he'll probably lead them to the playoffs.

1. Manning. 2. Brees. Brady is somewhere in the top 10.

Manning is this ERA's greatest QB. His a a defensive cooridinators nightmare. He is a tough man to beat.

Brees has many of those qualities. One thing they both have in common with Farve and Warner you cannot. CANNOT allow them to sit back in the pocket. They will pick you apart.

During the offseason I saw a program that analyzed Brees's throwing motion. The man hit bullseye 10-10 at about 20 yds. They analyzed the release, velocity on the ball and his throwing motion. The velocity and release point were identical on each throw. This wasn't some Saint fan program. This was one of those science channel or something like that.

I have been a fan of Brees since his days at Purdue. Brees is much younger than Manning so the argument may happen one day of who is greater.

Today, during this conversation. Manning is #1.

5 yrs from now...who knows.

here is that video.... unbelievable.

Just watched it again. It is truly amazing.

Manning or Brees... Doesn't matter. Watch that video and there is no way you cannot be amazed at how accurate he really is. Granted he didnt have 300 lb DLmen breathing down his neck but it does show. How good he really is.

Though I hate the Saints.. Drew Brees is one of my favorite NFL QBs

Peyton is far and away the best QB in football.

Brees was the "flavor of the month" this season. Last couple of seasons it was Brady. And before that is was guys like Steve McNair. The bottom line is every QB is always being compared to Peyton.

The top QBs I would want in the huddle for the Panthers in 2010:

1) Peyton Manning

2) Drew Brees

3) Phillip Rivers

4) Aaron Rodgers

5) Carson Palmer
