This is an ignorant statement made to support your anti-Bryce bias. Deep passing is down league-wide.https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/gross-yards-per-passing-attempt?season_id=21

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38378450/nfl-death-long-passing-deep-ball-aerial-yards-negative-trend

Go watch the Chiefs, Dolphins, 49ers, etc. Most of the top offenses in the league are based on short, quick passing games in one form or another.

Next time try to bother actually knowing something about what you're talking about before you post more of your smart-ass nonsense.

you are looking at throws over 20 yards and I am talking about yards per attempt as a whole which yes dipped in 2022 but is back up this year

edit to say this chart shows https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/NFL/passing.htm

yards per att and actual yards gained slightly ticked down from 7.1 - 6.9 and 6.9 -6.7  Not a huge deal but down.  Not sure what the first chart showed it going up and completions % doesnt fluctuate that much since 2018 hovers in the 64 range with a high 65.2

There were 3,416 attempts at least 15 yards downfield during the 2022 regular season, the fewest in any season since 2006.

But when quarterbacks did let it fly, they were pretty successful. Completion percentages on those attempts of at least 15 yards downfield was 45.1% -- the second-highest completion percentage in a single season since 2006.

If I am misreading that chart then I stand corrected but to me the yards per attempt is going up

    • well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.
    • Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.
    • Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
