All you Julius Peppers haters.....

Better watch out for what you wish for. So many people think he isn't worth what he is asking for, 14 to 16 mil\yr. Probably guaranteed 40-50 mil. NFL teams are lining up to take a shot at him. Grass isn't always greener on the other side.

We are a better team with him. Pay the man.

All this posturing today is nothing but fluff. Both sides are in a high stakes game of Poker.

Plus it only makes sense for the Panthers to have a clear understanding of what is happening this coming year with the Cap and CBA. It would be foolish for them to jump into negotiating with Pep before they know what their total spending limits will be.

You can say "why haven't the Panthers reached out to him?" If my memory serves me right, didn't JP do the same damn thing last year to the Panthers?

This is for Mr 58 posts, The overall message of this thread is LET THIS THING PLAY OUT. even though I want him to stay

Again??? Are we really doing this again??? Another thread about JP and his contract. How about we just let it play out and see what happens?

Listen mr 58 posts. If you read the thread and really try to understand what I wrote, I am saying let this thing play out.

How about letting it play out without talking about it playing out?

No disrespect or anything, but gosh golly darn. Everyday I log on here for

news and everyday theres at least 5 post on the front page about JP

and how he's not satisfied, how he's over rated, how he deserves more,

or what ever repeated banter people want to have on him.

Sorry, I'm just kinda frustrated by all the bull... There were 52 other guys

on the active roster we could be talking about.

It doesn't matter what anybody but Peppers and the organization thinks, says, wants, wishes, hates, or loves. No use in getting mad at what somebody else thinks since it has no bearing on the situation. Try not to lose any sleep about it.

    • He can’t even learn to run routes. No chance in hell he can do both that and pick up blocking schemes
    • Well he had essentially a 70% completion rate for almost three thousand yards.  Biggest issues were awkward and inconsistent release.  I wouldn't call arm strength bad, but not great.
    • I see him being better and most of that is a few downfield passes that were seemingly non existent.    But it is what is around him that has dictated the trajectory more than the quarterbacking. He is game manager level and unable to dictate to defenses.  And even if I am wrong and he is the reason we ‘upwarded’, we are bumping our heads on the ceiling and only making meager gains. If it is an incline it is awfully shallow degree wise. Like a finance graph that tracks your progress and hovers around the rate of inflation. Barely breaking even.  Is that where you want your money?  We make up these deadlines expectations and generally he does the minimum of what he needs to do to hang around.    It does not encourage me to believe that when we get into a game against a good run d that we cannot break down with our run game, to believe that we can pivot to the air and successfully counter their strategy.  But they run it back again. Of course I am gunshy of a repeat of the same thing we have watched for three years.    oh, and yes his durability is his most impressive positive for my money. I fear the other shoe dropping on that and the contractual consequences that will follow.   Last  of all, too late to edit my mistake here but would like to acknowledge it: the last three years has done very little to convince me that I was not wrong in not wanting him. One too many “not”s.
