Best panther ever

The main reason I made this thread was to see how it would be interpreted it, be it on/field factors or both. Plus I wanted to see if there was a diffence on newer fans and those who were with the team from day one... As for me I wasnt really a football fan until Charlotte got it's team and even then I was just a casual fan . I pulled for them because they were the hometown team but I really didn't become a diehard fan until the 2003 season. I remember the exact moment to, it was when smitty got that td from the infamous x-clown...

Anyways since im a newer fan Its easy for me to pick smitty I just didn't know if it was the overall consenus orrr if older fans had held a player in a higher reguard.

Yuppp but your missing alot of good parts. I guess you can view the glass half empty if you like

If you're talking just on the field, then you have a case. But when I think of "Best Panther of All-Time", I think of the best well rounded player that gave the most to this organization. And that is Mills hands down.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
