Which is fine, if everyone stops acting like he is a godly qb. He had a nice Dak/Mac/Baker rookie year

He has an argument for having the best rookie QB season of all time. Dak also is in that argument but was on a good offense on a team one season removed from a 12-4 record.

Does it matter? We are stuck with Bryce.

Of course it doesn't matter...

...but if you had to choose, what's your pick?

22/36    337    9.4    3    0    4-30    119.8

If I had to choose between the two? I'd choose the one with by far the less annoying, delusional, and excuse making fanbase. That's just me, but that boat has sailed.

Stroud had a couple of bad games but was sacked 3, 4, and 5 times in the three games before the Jets game and still threw a total of 900 yards with 6 total TDs... Stroud was hit very frequently and still performed. Let's not act like he had some godly OL.

Let's also not act like the Panthers had a bad OL.

I named off 3 of the best rookie seasons of all time, add in Luck and RG3 and Cam. Good great and bad, jury still out on Mac and Baker. couple borderline HOF (Dak and luck if he didn’t retire) but that amazing rookie year isn’t a shoe-in for greatness.

Should add Marino, Rusty, Mariota, Jake Browning (?) as well in terms of qbr

    • While I really hope things pan out for the young man, sometimes you've got to make a calculated guess on your returns. I wanted so bad to see us use our first round pick on a LB, C or TE this season, but I think this one injury changes everything. I might suggest taking the best and the second best OTs available in the draft with our first and second round picks. The injury to Icky really makes the first one a good choice and an affordable one. And Moton, who is long in the tooth, needs someone in the wings behind him.  This also means that BC is going to need to get a contract for this upcoming season both as a starter at LT and to train the younger player behind him. Also it means that we need to extend a solid contract to Cade Mays and lock him down as our Center for the next four years. Maybe Icky can recover fully and be a starting LT again, but the odds aren't in his favor. Maybe he could be back in line to play as a guard right as our current starters' contracts wind down. It's not pretty having to spend all your picks and money on the line, but it seems to be the wise investment in light of everything.
    • Unfortunate situation.  if one of the top LTs fall in the draft I think it’s a no brainer draft pick. Then if icky returns he can move to guard and replace one of our highly paid guards that are here now.
    • I dont really expect anyone to have any character or values when the system doesn't. I would respect those who did though. College Football is losing what little interest I had in it. I wasn't against giving the athletes some control but whatever this system is will kill it over time.
