guy says he predicted Carolina getting Stewart and Otah in the 1st.

also says he hit on Connor......

I must say if that IS TRUE......that is beyond crazy. I have yet to hear anyone predicting those events that took place.

He also lists 5 different options on some of the picks. I wonder if being "right" means that any one of those guys he throws out is drafted.

Meh, I thought it was average...

JPP will likely be a 1st rounder, and I don't really want us to consider moving up for him.. He has the measurables, but his play is rather average if you ask me...

Our absolute #1 need right now, considering nothing has been done with re-siging Moose, is WR... If we don't do any trading and #47 is our first pick, at this point it has to be a WR... Nothing in FA is all that attractive to be honest, and this is a pretty deep year for WR in the draft... Dezmon Briscoe is my guy, but I would love to have Tate, Gilyard, or any of the top WRs in the draft...

Our second highest need, according to my figures (which factor depth in as well) at least, is QB... I still don't think Fox will ever draft a QB early on though, so this will be a 4th or later type thing... We don't have a 5th rounder this year...

As far as who we'll draft after a WR... It should either be a DE (Corey Wootton if we trade up to get another second maybe?, if not, I like Austen Lane out of Murray St. in the 3rd) with a large frame and agile body...

After round 3, I'd say we maybe grab a Safety/CB hybrid to add depth and possibly replace Wesley or Teal on the depth chart (Myron Lewis of Vandy), an OLB to add depth and possibly eventually replace Diggs (Arthur Moats), and then BPA in the last round (if we stay put with our picks being 2, 3, 4, 6, 7)...

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
