We're all pro Morgan in the sense that we hope that he does well, but there isn't any concrete evidence that we should be all giddy about the hire. Like I said in another thread, the proof will be in the product on the field, but I will be scrutinizing what he says at the initial presser as GM. If he says anything to the effect that we're not that far away, I will cringe. If he references that they have a lot of work to do to build the franchise into a winner, then I'll believe there is some hope.

Not all...

I'm just getting in early before the

fence riders say they knew it all along.

What he says isn't as important as what he does.

Early moves will tell us more than early pressers.

Morgan was the biggest cheerleader of Tepper’s every move. Many people inside the building have told me.

That's pretty much the exact opposite of what I've heard from people with direct ties. Dan was the only one willing to voice his opinion when he didn't agree with something. From what I've been told he was nearly the only one in the building outside of McCown who wanted Stroud over Young. Fitterer, Reich and Brown were all-in on Young and sold the idea to Tepper.

Where'd you hear that Morgan wanted Stroud?

Was he against all the boneheaded trades that we've made?

Do any of your in life ever get excited about something that you assessment of that starts with a phrase like  "we can hope".............or "at least we"..........well do you get excited when you see that kind of phrasing?

The comments on this board are full of such statements and they nothing more than a realization of life's conciliation prize or participation trophies in set goals.......

There is only one SB trophy they hand out once a year in the NFL out of 14 playoff teams and "we can hope" or "at least we" doesn't cut it.

    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
