and those bottom 6 prospects plus 1st round draft picks, plus other picks can get players we would want.

I don't want to give up players like Pono, FUS, Nikishin, Morrow who will probably be on our NHL roster starting as early as next year.

It's all in the ask of the other team and what we kind of offers we are competing with.

Look at recent cup winners see how much they value late first round picks...

Nik is the only prospect 100% off limits In my book...

FUS I'd be sore if we traded

Morrow would be as well...

I think you are massively over valuing PONO

I would be okay with Pono...Niki is 100% off the table along with FUS. Morrrow is also a sore spot because I can see him making an impact on our blue line soon...along with Niki. Burns isn't going to last much longer, brady and pesce are free agents etc.

Just now, Harbingers said:

If he can get his defense up he’s a good 4th liner with a high ceiling. Not quite at a point per game but could grow.

I see his ceiling as a 3rd liner and maybe 40-50 points...

That kind of player isn't hard to aquire.

The Canes have done very well drafting top 6ers recently Necas/Jarvy both pushing ppg and if not traded I see FUS slotting into the top 6 I have a feeling he will force his way in like Jarvy.

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
