Game 61: Warriors vs. Bobcats

Steph Curry makes his first apperance back in Charlotte since becoming a Golden State Warrior tonight at TWC Arena. He will be joined by fellow Charlotte native and Charlotte Latin High School alum Anthony Morrow. The Bobcats got another HUGE win over the Lakers last night and in traditional fashion after we play them we ALWAYS have a game the following night. Making a celebration over that victory short lived. Tonight, the Bobs need to bring the same intensity and athleticism all across the board they brought last night. If we rebound well, defend well, and utilize our bench, we should have no problem with a struggling Golden State team. Golden State does not defend and aims to outscore their opponents in a fast paced west coast style of game. Former Warrior and Bobcats leading scorer Stephen Jackson will look to have another big game against his former club. I'm hoping for Steph to have a huge night in his homecoming, but an easy Bobcats win in front of our loyal fans. GO BOBCATS!!!

Funny thing, I remember my best friend at the time transferred to Charlotte Christian to play basketball and he angrily told me that Dell Curry's son was starting over him eventhough he wasn't as good...now Steph's in the NBA and over the Winter Holiday flew out that same kid and some buddies to watch him play out in Cali

Lets hope him and Anthony Morrow have great games, in a losing effort of course...

It's not too far-fetched that Curry may not have been as good as him in High School (at the beginning); and got more looks based off of name and hype...but then again

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
