Drafting a TE

Recommended Posts

The only thing wrong with our TE's in the past is that they had no one to throw them the ball.

exactly :D

i think that before all is said and done, barnidge will beat out rosario and king for the starting job. because he's gotten some experience now, he can run block better now, and he can catch just as good, if not, better than rosario. but to have two run blocking tight ends, and two receiving tight ends (cause barnidge can do both) gives our opponents an extra element to prepare for. our offense is gonna be deadly this season. i don't care what anyone says. just straight up pwning teams all year long.

Barnidge is a beast probably the best all around tight end on this team, I can almost guarantee that he will have a break out yr with moore behind center, but I like the fact that our TE's are underrated bc when gametime comes they show up and the opposing team had not gameplanned for it.

Our 3 TE's caught 63 passes last year even with Delhomme having such a bad season. We're fine at that position. The reason all these outsiders think we need a TE, is because they just look at the individual TE numbers seperately instead of looking at their combined numbers, which were pretty damned good for a running football team with QB problems.

I keep seeing this over and over again. We need to draft a TE. We need a pass catching TE......

NO WE DON'T!

Dante Rosario is a pretty amazing pass catcher!

At least half of the people who say that we need a Tight End on these boards are making fun of Mel Kiper. Get in on the joke. :)

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
