I actually hope we just move Rosario to WR and roll with King and Barnidge at TE

LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR THEN. 15 LBS AND 1 INCH TALLER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ROSARIO BEING SLOWER than BARNIDGE OR EVEN WITH HOW FAST A PERSON RUNS. BARNIDGE WAS STRONGER THAN ROSARIO AT THE COMBINE AND FASTER TOO. HE IS NOW 15 LBS STRONGER AND STILL FASTER THAN ROSARIO. THE IDEA THAT ROSARIO COULD SLIM DOWN AND GET FASTER IS PURE SPECULATION. YOU DON"T EVEN KNOW HIS BODY FAT LEVEL OR HOW MUCH WEIGHT HE COULD REASONBLY LOSE. YOU ARE OUT IN LEFT FIELD.

Barnidge did a whopping 2 more reps than Rosario. Stop grasping at straws. Some of Barnidge's advantage in regards to his 40 time came from being taller and slimmer. Period. It's not like Rosario was some fat sack of poo and Barnidge was rambo.

And he entered the draft at 243. So he could certainly lose 10 pounds, and most likely he's capable of getting down to 230. That'd make him a physical clone of Vincent Jackson.

As for your other comments, both examples you used were predicated on the 40 times being skewed by injury. How does that relate to Rosario who was healthy at the combine and had no excuses? Again 40 times aren't the last word but in a game where tackles and wiffs are caused by inches, 10th of seconds make a difference. No matter how you slice it, Rosario is slow, can't block, and doesn't run good routes. Exactly why are you trying to make him more than he is unless this is more about arguing and trying to win instead of actually talking reality.

lol injury isn't the only reason not to wholly embrace 40 times as absolute. Pep was healthy, if I recall correctly, and ran a 4.8. I don't think that's indicative of his game speed either.

Regardless, you don't like Rosario. That's cool. But offhandedly dismissing his potential to play a role that he would actually EMBRACE is stupid.

Actually I think we need to pick up WRs in the draft and in free agency. We need to do at that position the same we did at OG two years ago. We can't have too many options and need to find some quality guys this year. We can't ignore the WR position any longer.

how about we just use him more as a recieving TE in the pass game and find an actual WR.

How dare you bring up a simple common sense answer to the problem! No no no, we have to force players to switch positions and forget trying to draft any position where we have had busts before, because that means they will all be busts from now to eternity.

But it can slow you down especially if a loss of flexibility happens as a result.

Of course it can slow you down, but it doesn't have to and can actually come from the very exercises that make you faster in the first place. Quit being contentious for the sake of contention. :P

As I said you are out in left field. Now you are making up numbers to justify your point. First of all you try and compare a DE time to a TE who you want to make into a WR which is a crazy comparison to begin with, then you prove my point. Peppers ran a 4.68 in the combine meaning he was faster than Rosario as well. Maybe we should have put him at WR like we tried on the goal line. LOL.

Why not give up while you are behind. I know I am tired of a conversation which goes down any bunny trail you can find in an effort to find something to be right about.. You obviously aren't going to stop and you are getting more bizarre with each new post.

Okay so I was mistaken on only one of the stats I've recited throughout this thread. Congratulations on a completely minor and ultimately irrelevant victory because I'd still wager that Peppers is faster than a 4.68.

And I'm not making that comparison at all, what the hell are you going on about? It was an example of how 40 times should be taken with a grain of salt.

But whatever you want to believe, Al.

I'm still waiting for somebody to show me a quote where Rosario said he didn't want to play TE anymore. Supposedly, that's what started all of this idiotic nonsense in the first place.

I already said I was partly speculating. Hopefully meat will stop blowing whoever he's with right now and answer my PM because I'm sure he'd know something about it one way or the other.
