Baseball game?

Haven't played the Show for this year yet, seeing as I don't have a PS3 yet. 2K10 is pretty fun this year though. I've been surprised. The Show is probably the better simulator, but I'm no baseball expert, and 2K10 has me hooked right now.

The presentation and commentary on the stats and stuff is great. Doing a franchise with the Braves, and it's excellent that they recognize what my stats are for the series, how I played the previous night, etc.

So many situational stats with good analysis by the commentators. Baseball is just so stat driven that it's great in this game.

Again, not saying the Show isn't great. I'm sure it's probably better. But if you are aching for a baseball game, or just curious about what else is out there, 2K10 is definitely not a bad rent IMO.

My final verdict on 2K: Pitching is way too easy, hitting is way too hard.

Every game I played, no matter who was pitching... had a legendary day. And every game was like 0-0 or 1-1 going into extra innings. I had several 15 hit games with no runs.

Just stupid. Sent it back. GL next year 2K.

PS: The World Series really sucked in 2K. I expect more from 2K games in that dept. The commentary just gets stale overall.

They know who I've played against and what I did, etc etc. Until you're in a wildcard play-in game and they never even mention what's going on. Killed my buzz for sure.

    • Also, you don't really get good value by drafting a center in the first.
    • First off, we haven't been ignoring the defense. We have drafted several defensive players, but, perhaps more importantly, we have added good pieces in free agency. Secondly, the offense was still kinda bad (27th or so depending where you look at). You can't just say we can't pick an offensive guy while acknowledging that the offense wasn't good. Everything is on the table. Like I said above, it seems kind of counterproductive to say that we shouldn't draft an offensive player high unless they're at certain positions. The offense was mediocre at best. Sure, we had an uncanny knack to win some close games at opportune times, but the offense wasn't really good. To me, it makes little sense to put limitations on who/what we should draft when we need an upgrade at so many positions. What you look at is trying to get the best value--bang for your buck so to speak--and that's the way it should be. D-Mo has used FA to set up the draft in order not to be pigeonholed into anything, and that's the way that it should be.
    • Hubert has plenty of money. I don't hate the guy. I think he a legit good guy. This is Ron Rivera all over again for me. It's just very obvious a coaching change is needed and it audka we gottaboart ways with a good guy and I'd much rather it work out but the same issues appearing again and again year after year are clearly shouting what needs to happen. With that said, if we hire Todd Golden, that's it. I'm out. I'd greatly prefer to just keep getting disappointed by Hubert. I can at least stand to root for that.
