Antonio Bryant Headed to Cincinnati?

Bryant's agent, Lamont Smith, said Bryant had also arranged a visit with the Washington Redskins that could prove more enticing as Bryant would apparently be a second receiver behind Chad Ochocinco in Cincinnati.

There's still rumblings the Panthers are still interested in him according to Insider. Again, we all know Insider could be full of it.

Former Bucs receiver Antonio Bryant is in Cincinnati visiting with the Bengals. This much we know. What's not so certain is what his next stop is.

Bryant's agent is denying reports he identified the Redskins as Bryant's next visit, though he admits his client does have another couple of visits lined up. The agent, Lamont Smith, wouldn't identify the teams.

Bryant would seem to be a good fit with the Bengals, who are looking for someone to pair with Chad Ochocinco. The latest word out of Cincinnati is that Terrell Owens, another free agent receiver who was scheduled to visit today, is not coming in until tomorrow.

Could that mean Bryant is closing in on a deal? Perhaps. Stay tuned.

-Completely *** up any chance of a successful 2010--check

OH GOD WE CUT OUR FULLBACK AND WASHED UP QUARTERBACK. NOOO. 2010 IS HOPELESS!

Antonio Bryant would be a good 1 year signing, though. Nothing more than that since he's a lazy 'only-produce-in-contract-years' player.

...and let go of our key role palyers only to put in unproven "talent"!!! Whoo hoo, I love learning curves!!!

Rebuilding makes so much sense when one or two player additions would have solidified the team. The next time I go in for an oil change for my car, I'll inform them that they'll need to tear out the enigne and rebuild it becasue it may improve my car's performance....though it's running just fine now.

Problem with your analogy is that it WAS NOT running fine.

We were starting to hear knocks and pings all over the place.

Understand that NFL players get old very quickly. Today's stud is tomorrow's old news....seee Shaun Alexander and LT for examples of that.

Kemo and Lewis were servicable...no more. Our DT position has not been strong for years. Leonard, Tyler, and Irvin are as good....and I believe will out perform next year.

Diggs was easily replaceable with Anderson and Conner. Anderson has been with us for 4 seasons and has performed well the last two.

Brayton needs to be re-signed...or they need to re-sign a similar solid vet to help out with depth and mentor our two young guys.

Jake...enough said.

Hoover...we were carrying 3 FB's. That is hard to do with the roster limits. Sutton and Fiametta are big and young. This one may be the one that I see a slight fall-off.

Vincent...he was the weak link last season. Mackey and Schwartz played great in their games.

We are taking a risk, but the long term upside more than outweighs the risk.

I think we will be better than last season based on QB play alone.

Man Na'il Diggs sure was amazing. so was that Landon Johnson fellow. They were the heart and soul of our linebacker core. There can be no one, draft or other wise, to replace them.

Lewis and Kemoeatu were gods compared to everyone the left on the Dline. The reason we lost most of those games was because of the absence of Kemo.

We are f**cked.

The only players that were cut that can affect us are Peppers and Hoover. Get over it.

Really? By many assertions here Jake kept us from the playoffs and everything else was fine. I personally think there was a couple of other issues like a solid #2 WR and injuries. This team had one or two more years with many of the players that was cast aside without building for the future NOW. Of course you don't want an aging team, but it don't have to be an all or nothing mentality, however.

My point was the team could have selectively undergone this metamophasis instead of "kicking all the bums out" mentaility. Once we got the D-line back healthy and found a compliment to Smitty along with steady QB play, the playoffs were (in my opionion) assurd.

You are thinking about the future, apparently the front office is too, that's fine. I just think a very promising 2010 season just got scrapped in the process is all. True we still have a core, BUT there will too many unproven, YES unproven players (spot play or a couple games insn't enough for me) to overcome the learning curve for a successful season.

That's the reason we got run on so badly smart@ss, especially in the beginning of the year becasue we DID lose Kemo.

Obviously they can get replaced, but can the the newbies produce? Well smart guy? I'm the one shelling out ticket money to see a group that is an unknown commodity. How about this, for every time a newbie makes a mistake...on the job; send me a dollar and I might recoup some funds since your fine with the all this OJT.

Our DLine was Julius Peppers. Everyone else can and will be replaced. Hell the DTs were already replaced this past season.

Draft a DE and BAM our DLine is back to freakin' normal.

Well played decent with the injures and because of those injuries we found we have more depth and replaceable players. Our main concern has been, and still is a WR. If we get a first round Pick I''d rather we'd draft a DE though. Our backfield was the reason our Defense did so well. And for the most part, that's still here.

Honestly will got rid of aging players and filled because we already had players behind them. We get a number two wideout and a DE like Brandon Graham or Johnathan Dwyer or something that Meeks would like and honestly we are serious contender this year in the NFL.

EDIT:

Once we got Thomas we were exactly as we normally were- decent against the run good against the pass.

How about this, every time a veteran, no matter where they sign makes a mistake, take out a dollar and burn it. Doesn't matter who you are in the NFL, old or young, you'll make mistakes.

We are going to agree to disagree. I think this team will be no more than average next season.

I'll burn a dollar for every one you send. I'm CONFIDENT I'll still come out ahead. You see, I played sports my whole life and actually coached some in youth leagues. One constant stays the same, experience takes time to replace.

Again, we weren't the 2007 Bucs, the majority of the team wasn't over the hill. Even with the few "over 30's" we had, they still were producing at a better-than-average to high level.
