Player Highlight Videos: Defensive Tackles

I don't think we take a DT very high.. we more than likely will not get any of these guys. I think it would be more fitting to give us OLB highlights like, Dakoda Watson, Daryl Washington, Perry Riley, AJ Edds.

Also, mid-round DE's would be nice but I bet hard to find highlights of most of them.

Getting ready to do that later today....

I think we could definatley take a DT high since we've released lewis. We have room for one now. OLB and DT are very simmilar in the concept that we have guys that can start now and do a decent job, but a high draft pick would be an instant upgrade.

I think people haven't realized that we replaced Lewis before we cut him with Ed Johnson. We currently have 6 DT's on the roster. That is the position, other than RB, that we have the most depth at.

Johnson, Tyler, Leonard, and Irvin are the only guys who I think have a shot at making the team. I think we keep 5 DT's this year so I feel like we have room for one more.

"Depth" starts to lose meaning when guys like Nick Hayden is the "depth".

Yep. And we really have no depth at NT. Its Leonard (who is coming off a nasty injury) or bust. Remember what happened last year when we only had one true NT. If Mount Cody is there I wouldn't be surprised if we got him, he to me is a upgraded Kemo (dominant against the run but only a 2 down player). I would rather have Torrell Troup in the 3rd or 4th. He is a more balanced and can bring pressure up the middle as well as take on multiple blockers and clog running lanes.

On a side note Brian Price is going to be a steal late 1st early 2nd.

    • For a 3rd year QB? That flies with the Teppers and makes the HC and GM look like fools.  Their fear is evident. Their careers are tied to making it work, it's ehy they signed on here and they are professionals who knows what kind of a situation they could potentially have on their hands if they are not calculating about popping up Bryce. I call BS to that sir. It's why every QB after Bryce couldn't make any other rosters past a PS spot...at best
    • Not just Dalton.   But the only real young arm they would let be seen the past 2 years was a really a bad Jack Plummer.  Who was super weak even for that tier  Can’t convince me how weak they made the atmosphere around Young hasn’t been intentional.
    • Things of note: mentions he has six drops. Six. For all the people that don’t know what a drop is, he has six. That’s a long distance from the league leader at ten. (To be fair, pro football reference has him at seven, still not bad.  Plenty of others is that same range.  His drop % is 6.3, which is low.) Catchable ball success ratio: 83% which is great. Catchable being the key word.  Mentions his contested catch rate is low at 5/18 but that’ll get better I think when he can rely on muscle memory for routes, catches, etc and the game slows down for him
