Trindon Holliday

Not high on Trindon Holliday at all. Some guys are just fast and not much else and that is what you get with him. Playing four years at LSU he should have been their all-time leader in most if not all punt return and kick return categories. He wasn't. 8 total touchdowns in four years. Never scored more than 1 in a game. In return yards for punts I believe he is well over 1000 shy of the school record. If you are going to be a player in the nfl for special teams only, you should have exceeded as a special teams player in college like nobody else at your school ever has. This was not the case.

To the person who said they would like to have Banks. He is a much better option. Not only does he have 5 career returns for a td in 2 years, but he also actually plays wr. 120+ catches, 1700+ yards, and 10 touchdowns in 2 years as a wr. And when they let him run the ball he did very well averaging over 10 yards a carry over 2 years.

Some guys aren't made for the NFL and I think we will find that to be the case with Holliday. He will be back in track soon.

Trindon returned all the kickoffs and punts in the Texans preseason opener last saturday in AZ. The first kickoff he threatened to break it open and actually had a good return but.....after that....it appeared that the Special teams coach was overcoaching and wanting him to run up the center of the field and try to follow blocking. He looked very tentative and confused after the first kick....I think he will be ok as long as coach Marciano lets him run on instinct.

Is it that easy to return punts and kickoffs for TDs? I thought the return mans primary job was to set up his team by getting good field position. Scoring a TD from a punt or kickoff return to me is just a plus.

It isn't the be all end all but he is still over 1,000 yards shy of just his schools record for return yards. He would be a waste of a roster spot.
