Under center play action? Stepping up in the pocket in your own end zone? Actually it reminds of that similar play when he hit Ian Thomas for about 50 yards. A play like that every 3 or 4 games out of Bryce would have people deserving of a little more patience but it's just not there. Every team is just running the same defense on Bryce and he's not doing poo to make them regret or question it.

Let's see if he can keep it going. I thought he could, and may be a late bloomer. 

But I am optimistic about guys with tools. And was sort of a late bloomer myself so it does happen.

Wish I could have been optimistic about Bruce. No tools. That passing chart is flat unbelievable for what people thought he was worth.

Nothing wrong with a dude getting it together mentally around 26 years old if he has the tools. Jake was like 28 I think when we got him. Bryce just don't got the tools. Keyshawn tried to tell everyone

      No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad

      I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.

      Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible.
