To Those who own Madden 09 on the 360.... A warning to you!

As most of you should know by now, Microsoft changed their look by adding a whole new dashboard. One of the features I noticed of the new look was the ability to add your game to your hard drive (to this day, I still don't get the point of it) so I decided to add Madden 09 to my hard drive.

After that point, every time I would enter franchise mode, between halftime or after the game where they show the highlights, it always freezes for a few seconds. It finally got to a point were the game would freeze entirely.

So I what do I do? I delete it from the hard drive and everything works fine again.

Point to this is.... Don't use the "Play Disc on Hard Drive" feature for Madden 09 because it will freeze your madden game up.

the only benefit i have seen in putting a game on your HD is the 360 doesnt sound like a jumbo jet while playing. i dont get the premise either.

This is why it's worth it, and faster loading times but not that much faster.

Yea the load times are faster, and the sound is a whole lot quieter while playing.

There are some games where it's not recommended. Halo 3 actually shows a decrease in performance when you do it.

i've had madden installed on my hdd since the day they added that feature, and i play it almost every day. haven't had a single issue.

i love installing things to the hdd. it's quiet and i find the loading times much faster.

Isn't it possible to rent games and save them to your hard drive then?

I like it for cod4. My cod4 disc would go nuts but after saving it to hdd it made everything nice and quiet. That and my stuff loads faster.

No, you still need the disc in the bay. It just doesn't use the disc to read from. This is to prevent said issue.

Got a few games like Fallout and NBA2K9 on my hard drive. 2K9 probably shows the biggest improvement of all my games I've tried on it. Much faster loading in menus, association, during games, team selection etc....Plus of course you don't hear the annoying drive.
