What if we got a wide receiver instead of Jonathan Stewart in the 2008 draft

Do you guys think we would have been better with a wide receiver for our 1st pick of the 2008 draft even tho double trouble is amazing we have had a problem finding a #2 WR for the past like 5 years and still have the problem today. We could have had someone like DeSean Jackson who didn't get picked till the second round. I really hate to say it but i would trade j stew for DeSean Jackson in a red hot second. What do you fellows think?

No telling any receiver would have been worth a damn here. But I do know that DWill would have been run into the ground and we would be looking for another running back.

Yup.

We shored up one weakness, but failed to address another. The result would have been the same, just flip-flopped positions.

it doesn't matter. they're going to draft 2 wide receivers this year and fix the problem, or i'm gonna cry.

Man, if I could trade and get Tom Brady I would in a red hot second.

don't be a douche i was just pointing out that we got jstew 13th overall pick when we could have gotten Djackson who went as a 43rd overall pick, if this team would try to improve the passing game instead of making us the best running team in the league we would get somewhere. To win football games you need to have a balance of run and pass. A perfect example would be the saints

well, i don't even like our offensive philosophy, but they're going to be a run first and run even when it doesn't work team regardless, so they might as well stack up on the o-line and backfield as much as possible. maybe if fox is fired things will change one day.

      Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
