On the one hand we absolutely should heavily consider it if there is an offer made. We have Dowdle Etienne who we just drafted who has shown nice burst in few carries and we have Brooks rehabbing. We've got a lot invested in RB along with the highest paid OL in football. It's too much honestly. You'd almost forget we have a guy who was supposed to be a generational ball distributor behind center. On the other hand we can't ignore the fact a number of players we have traded away over the last few years have seemed to thrive elsewhere at least initially. It's a tough situation. But in the end. This is why you don't pay RB's and if you do they better have historic numbers like Saquan. And even then if you do that the first question you need to ask yourself is do you need a better QB. -

Salary inflation has happened so that is far from an apples to apples. It would make him the 20th highest AAV QB in the NFL, however. Jones is likely to eclipse that and I don't think there are major QB contracts coming due that would bump him down further than 21st. Still too much, IMO. -

I will use his career in Detroit, who is VERY adept at talent evaluations and their willingness to move on from him so quickly as a 3rd round pick as pretty damning evidence. Matt Corral-esque, dare I say.
