After Much Research

After carefully reading over the schedule and studying our opponents carefully i have found the exact dates that the people of this board will accept the panthers are for real, the date Matt Moore is the most picked up fantasy free agent of the week, the date D-Willi and J-Stew goes over 1500 yards apiece, and the date we wrap up the division. I will explain this in list format

1) The date that the people of this board will accept the panthers are for real is on week 7 against the forty niners. After a 5-1 start the people of this board will finally return to the swagger i know they are capable of having. This doom and gloom is a fad and as of October 24th that opinion will be completely eradicated from all serious posters.

2) Matt Moore will be the hottest free agent quarterback pick up of the week on Wednesday October 6th, 2010. After a tough fourth quarter loss to the 2-1 Saints where Matt Moore and the Funky Bunch thoroughly decimates the Saints Offense in a shootout. Moore will be someone who fantasy experts everywhere start to recommend as a quarterback who is a great plug and play player and someone whose weak schedule gives him good matchups. I for one will already be starting him so this will be no news to me.

3) Last year was nothing, continuing on a strong end to the year our rushing attack takes the NFL by storm. On the last game of the regular season with Deangelo Williams resting for the playoffs, J-Stew runs for a solid 80 yards 2 touchdown game and surpasses the 1500 yard plateau for the season. This record will be one that most analysts don't think will ever be accomplished again. I tend to agree with the experts

4) On Dec. 12 with a victory over the Atlanta Falcons the 11-2 Carolina Panthers wrap up the NFC south Divison title, the only loss in the division so far coming against the New Orleans Saints who have since dropped off considerably. This shocks experts who have all season said the Panthers are the most overrated team in the league. Matt Moore keeps winning and the experts have now been silenced.

This is not conjecture this is fact. 13-3 will be our final record and we will have home field advantage in the playoffs. Doubt and Ridicule all you want, the Panthers are now officially the team to beat in the NFC. I for one hope the giant targets on our backs don't come back to bite us.

Yesterday was 4/20....right?

The Panthers will never be taken for real or serious until they win the Superbowl. And then they will be forgotten by March. Might not even get the Season Opener on Thursday night. Small Market team and all. I mean really? who wants to see the Panthers open the season? You want to be a fan of a team that has media love? You picked the wrong team.

Oh man, someone was high.

Me but thats beside the point. :D

I could actually see this happening (with minor differences). If you seen us play at the end of the season you have to realize that it is at least a possibility. As I have said before I wouldn't be surprised with anything this year. Whether we suck in all areas and go 7-9 or blow up and go on a tear and be 12-4 - 13-3.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
