If that's the perception people are getting, then it doesn't matter. How GM's Coaches and scouts perceive said actions is what matters.

It may not have been a major deal, but if a team that was thinking about drafting him was torn between him and another player, that could have been what was needed to tip things out of his favor.

There was more to it than that though... Gruden asked him if the WR got the audible and he said "yeah, he got it but kept on going..." He threw the guy under the bus...

i don't think clausen has learned how to talk to grown ups.

the dude is screaming ryan leaf. having him in the same draft as the guy who is considered to be the best QB taken in the draft since peyton is a bit too eerie.

His attitude in interviews was also on the poor side apparently as well. The Gruden interview hurt him a lot as well.

the more telling reaction by Claussen was when Gruden was ripping him he looked the other way and started writing down things on his pad. Almost as if he didn't want to hear what Gruden had to say.

I don't buy into the whole Clausen hype. I don't believe he proved much of anything in college and he got a lot of publicity because he was Notre Dame's quaterback.

He has all the components to be a good NFL caliber QB but that doesn't always necessarily mean much (ie: Ryan Leaf). Brees has proved that system of thought pretty much useless anyways.

He seems like just another Brady Quinn to me.

I always loved Colt McCoy and think he'll be great. And the Gruden QB Camp just made me love him so much more. And Clausen, o boy did he screw himself over with this interview.
