Very early 53 man roster prediction.

pike wouldn't last on the PS. someone would pick him up right away.

3 QBs on the 53 man roster will be moore/goodson/and pike

43 game day roster will be moore and clausen with pike being the emergency.

we won't be picking up a vet...at least not any time soon. we will more than likely be going with moore being the most established QB on the roster.

i don't really have a problem with that.

Neither do I. How does it work snatching people up from practice squads? Do they go through waivers like in baseball?

Once you cut someone, they go through waivers and then you can sign them to your practice squad. After that anyone can sign them whenever they want.

About the Jarrett conversation he will def make the rooster seeing how he knows the system more than the new recievers comming in. Also you gotta look at it this way Sidney Rice was a nobody until he got Brett Farve so give this guy a chance with his new qb. He's still young so he can only get better. As for kenneth moore i think that he is trash and won't make the team. Also another guy who i think will make the team is Dexter Jackson. With his 4.3 speed i have a feeling he could dominant the slot and cause a lot of miss match nightmares(steve smith did want a young and faster receiver than him)

WR: Steve Smith, Dwayne Jarrett, Brandon Lafell, Dexter Jackson, David Gettis, Armanti Edwards

I find it hard that we take 6 wr make the team but i believe we have too much talent that we do something. I feel we have our speed receivers and tall receivers and can find miss matches all over the field. Is it a possibility that they could put Pike on the practice squad and put Armanti Edwards as 3rd qb and use him for wildcat/reciever? And regarding special teams Brian Witherspoon will be our KR and PR.

Everyone is in love with David Gettis. I like him but he needs some coaching. He catches using his body more than his hands. Anointing a late round pick the number two pre camp seems presumptive. Also Jarrett is on the hot seat but i don't think we can write him off. We will carry 5 WR's on the roster. I think Lefell, Jarrett and Smith are obviously front runners. Edwards is a pet project and would be swiped up on the practice squad so... So that leaves one spot for Gettis and Wright. Wright was specifically brought in the help special teams and he is a veteran that the coaches seem to like. I really do think Gettis will end up on the practice squad and we will hope nobody likes him enough to snag him.

i think gettis would get a roster spot over jarrett, unless jarrett has a great camp. also, i think at least one of the corners drafted late has a good chance of getting a spot. they don't dump draft picks on a whim. they try their hardest to keep them around, at least for one year. those special teamers they signed pre-draft have the hardest shot at making the team.

Like I said before I think Gettis will make the roster. We need his speed to compliment our other WR. Dwayne Jarrett and LaFell are possession WRs. Edwards is inexperienced as a receiver, he will take some time. Gettis, at 6-3 can create mismatch problems to take pressure off Smitty.

Smith, Jarrett, LaFell, Edwards, Gettis

I wouldn't expect much from D. Jackson unless he has learned a lot from Smitty.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
