I know my issue with Fox was his lack of emotion on the sideline, loyalty to players to a fault, and NEVER readjusting game plans at half time. I think most people have the same issues with Fox.

If he is willing to not be loyal to a fault anymore and it appears this is happening. Although, not sure if this is him or Richardson telling him what to do (aka cutting Jake). The other two issues, well we will just have to wait and see.

If he can tweak these couple things, you will be hard pressed to find a better coach as long as he wins. If he doesn't tweak these three things, then off with his head!

Remember back in the good old days before Fox?

Back when we prayed for a winning season in August and prayed for the season to end in November? When not only did the country not know the names of our players, but most of us didn't either? Back when we really started missing Dom Capers?

Or maybe, just maybe the good old days of January 2002 when we were all giving thanks that the long, national nightmare had ended at 15 losses in a row?

I believe that our present is better than our past, by far. I like that we're able to say this year sucked because we went 8-8... I remember when 8-8 wasn't too shabby for us.

I think Fox and Hurney have put us together a good team with a lot of potential here, and I believe we'll have a winning season. Beyond that, I hope they can stay because I sure don't see anyone out there with the credentials to make me want a change.

Gruden? I like the guy and he's smart, but he took Dungy's Bucs to the Super Bowl and dismantled the Raider team he had built ... it was kind of all downhill from there, remember? Cower? It took him a long time to get to the Super Bowl, and he bowed out of coaching not long after reaching the pinnacle. He went out at the top which might put the polish to his image more than is really warranted. Billick? Mora? Spurrier? Crennel? Weiss? Harbaugh? C'mon... really now? Really?

Hate to say it, but IMO it's time to cut the cord.

I like Fox, but can't stand the ups and downs of having him at the helm.

The Marty/Foxball, and the inability to change a gameplan at halftime to counter the other team changing theirs is maddening...to say the least.

Could we do worse than Fox? Yup.

Could we do better then Fox? Yup.

Fox's team has never changed so much in a single off-season since he's been here. He now has a team full of young talent, and no stale loyalties to old players (Jake). I'm very excited to see what he can do with what he has now. By far the biggest issue with our team the past several seasons has been Fox's loyalty to Jake, and now Jake is gone. He can either be loyal to Matt Moore or Jimmy Clausen...either way it will be an improvement. If he leaves he will be the most sought-after coach in the league.
