Don't run on the field in Philly.....

I got no problem with it. Personally, my fave was at the Panthers/SF game in Death Valley Clemson (yeah, that long ago) when a fan ran out from the endzone. A guard/cop in pursuit actually dive tackled his knees from behind causing him to slam down head first on the field. The crowd went nuts and i bet his face had some damage. I loved it.

The whole thing is a clusterfug from a liability standpoint.

So you tackle the guy and he slams his head on the ground and gets a subdural and dies.

You taze the douche and he has a grabber and dies.

Instant dbag turned "victim of excessive force" nonsense.

Dunno, but one of these days, somebody is gonna do something very, very bad. Worse than what happened to Gamboa or the tennis gal that got knifed, some kind of real "statement" of perhaps a geopolitical nature and then we have a serious poopstorm.

Not sure what the answer is, since I doubt tazing will deter any of these guys.

We may see the day where our view of sporting events is obstructed almost like hockey plexiglass to prevent anybody getting out there. We all suffer the stupidity of just a few.

I think umpires should start carrying tasers. If a batter is caught looking at strike 3 then instead of calling him out, the ump should just tase him. TV ratings would improved dramatically.

2nd basemen or SS should carry and blast whomever tries to break-up a DP....or just blast A-Rod whenever they please

Definitely excessive use of force there. He's a 17 year old kid acting the fool. He's not a dangerous criminal threatening someone. Running onto the field during a public sporting event does not deserve being electrocuted.

Law enforcement is cleared to use a Taser in ANY circumstance where a subject is poised to ACTIVELY resist a direct order... This includes, but is not limited to, running onto a ball field, where security does not know your intentions, and acting afool... The officer, regardless of public perception, was 100% within his SOP for doing this... He will be covered, and cleared, from any legal liability...

And I assure you, as someone who has rode the lightning, it WILL BE the 'once in a lifetime experience' this young man was looking for...
