Iron Man is a ripoff of Batman

Okay, I'll put it this way...

Crimefighting Superhero A has dead parents who provided him with wealth beyond anyone's wildest dreams. But he hasn't decided to just live off that wealth, he actually builds on it. He's a genius, and has decided to fight evil with that gift. He is a playboy. He has gadgets out the yinyang. He is misunderstood.

Crimefighting Superhero B...same thing.

It's like they took Batman and Supermanned him up a little bit. Iron Man can fly. He has a fatal weakness (kryptonite vs. that thing in his chest).

You can't tell me Stan Lee wasn't thinking "we need a Batman".

Not really.

Batman's parents were murdered, and he became a single-minded individual from that moment on. The "playboy" thing is purely a cover.

Stark's playboy image was (and is) the real deal. He became a hero only after being captured and injured (originally in Vietnam, for the movie version, Afghanistan) by terrorists.

The Punisher is way closer to Batman in tone of character, but minus the money and largely devoid of ethics.

Batman beat Superman.

not in a fight.

if we're talking about who could spring a better trap, batman wins, sure. he has gotten the upper hand by taking hostages or leading an assault team surprise attack that Superman was oblivious to.

out of the 9 or 10 times they've fought, Batman has either gotten his ass kicked or Superman never actually fought back because it wasn't a fight, it was a trap.

Superman GAVE Batman a kryptonite ring to help stop him if he ever went rogue, because they both know Superman could instantly kill him if he wanted.

Wolverine would wipe his ass with any superhero of any universe...

pretty much, except the Hulk. both are indestructable. it would just be an endless cycle of Hulk 'killing' Wolverine, and Wolverine coming back for more.

see their fight in the ultimate universe where Hulk ripped him in half, threw his legs on top of a mountain, and Wolverine crawled up it to put them back on.

100% untrue

there are a few who could beat him temporarily. Magneto would just rip his adamanteum out again.

but he's unkillable. he'll come back no matter what. drop a nuclear bomb on him and he will heal.

    • Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.
    • I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. But don’t talk poo about us. Because it make you look like Haula.    “need to get as far away as possible”. fug off. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…
    • I don't really care about your post at all. I just saw the direction of the discussion and this snippet from an article I read earlier in the day was a good spot to put non-Panthers info. I mostly don't care about the players personal lives. That's off the field/personal poo. Not really any of my business.  I also don't know him personally so what would be the point of congratulating him outside basically attempting to draw attention to myself like so many in the social media/internet realm.
