They'll go back to wearing Braves stuff.

Lol.... that's funny. When I was younger and watched little to no baseball I was a braves fan.... I graduated in 01, went to school in Atlanta, and starting paying some attention to baseball..... Well in the 2000's in converted and became a Red-Sox fan.... That's the only east coast team in all of sports that I cheer for.... But I don't think I am going back to the braves... I'm gonna stick with the sox.... for now at-least.

Why? The Braves are in last place.

Oh and dont forget...

Atlanta Braves Fans = Falcon Fans

This is kinda silly, tbh. Obviously there is a very large overlap, but there is also a large group of Braves fans that will have nothing to do with any other Atlanta team.

Exactly. Braves = Tennessee, NC, SC, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and a little bit of Kentucky and Virginia as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

Going 8-2 is good, doing with 8 of them on road is better, doing it against the Yanks, Minny, Philly & the Rays makes it great. Pitching is back. Every arm is healthy. AL East should be really fun again.

    • I've shown you numerous comps for other tackles in the same age and talent range.  His contract, taking into account his age, health, etc.  is the going rate.  It's a fair deal. I've shown you examples of how long it usually takes to find even an average replacement.  Hell, look at every tackle that has ever started for the Panthers.  How many would you consider a success?  They are not easy to find. After everything we've done with this team since drafting Bryce why would we decide to let our best linemen go and add a huge question mark at tackle?   FA is a crapshoot in which any guy available will have cons/issues.  If not, they'll cost a fortune.   Outside of a first or maybe 2nd round pic next year it'll take a few years for a tackle to learn the position at the NFL level.  There are still questions about Icky. Every vet NFL player deals with maintenance.  Between the contract value and history I'm not overly worried about his knee.  I contend his knee issue isn't anything to be overly worried about.  It's not zero risk but it's an acceptable risk.  Every player we draft and every contract we sign has risk.  You're blowing up his own negative words about his knees and ignoring him saying he is healthy and the knee is a non issue.  You have a strong chicken little complex with this team.  Being he has always been a Panther they are very aware of any health issues. We paid now because now is cheaper.  If his knee was really an issue they would have waited.  That tells me it's not the issue you want it to be.
