Moore, Aromashodu headline deep fantasy sleepers in 2010

Matt Moore, QB, Panthers

Moore proved to be a legitimate NFL starter last season, throwing for a combined 829 yards with eight touchdowns and no interceptions over the final four weeks. Now atop the depth chart after the offseason release of Jake Delhomme, Moore will have a chance to make an even greater impact for fantasy owners. With a very favorable schedule and a great backfield behind him, he'll be worth a late-round look.

I've been able to pick him up in the final round of every mock draft i've done at ESPN as they have him ranked #588 overall.

Why would you waste a pick on Moore when Clausen is going to be starting?

clausen isn't the starter yet.... and these are mocks.

my draft isn't until after week 4 of the preseason so i'll have time to see who the starter is but i am sure either will be available on the waiver wires anyways, especially in a 10 team league.

man dont waste your time with sleepers at qb...only one of them is going to play and 15 weeks out of the season its going to be your horse....just draft a soild backup that you can count on that one weekend your real qb is on a bye and call it a day.

im gonna laugh when matt moore gets pulled week 3 and all the nuthugers start crying, he won 6 gamez in 3 seasonz!111!!!!

In that scenario, that would mean Moore went 0-3 to start the season. I am pretty sure that no one would be nut hugging anymore.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
