The Panther QB Question

Any team that needs a coach.

Fox inherited a 1-15 team, had them in the Super Bowl two years later, and without a franchise QB he's won 71 games in 8 years. That's the stuff that owners and GMs around the league pay attention to, not whether he stayed with Delhomme a season too long.

Give me a freaking break. You all know it doesn't matter who they put behind center.

Fox is gonna run it and run it until D Williams and J Stewart can barely walk. I could play QB and we would win at least 5 games this season. Foxy is Foxy and he will run, run, run and hope that a lack luster defense will keep him in games. This team is not the one he had back when his coach style worked. I believe if he doesn't change his mind set, this is a one way ticket out of Carolina!

everyone is questioning pike....he isnt a bad quarterback he had a better season then clausen did last year....and dont throw stats whose the proven winner pike...not clausen, clausen has stats yes but stats dont win games, granted clausen was under charlie weis but then whats brady quinn's excuse??? clausen barley finished his career over .500 i think thats why teams were passing him up brady quinn was a proven winner at the college level with the stats and all that ....and look at him now he probably wont start over The Golden Calf of Bristol gotta laugh at that a little bit. but none the less i think everyone is trying to find a saviour in clausen in my opinion he's not what carolina needs if armanti edwards were taller id say put him there but i still like him as a receiver, i think pike is a good addition when clausen gets traded matt moore will have a good back up with pike and if carolina were to get rid of matt which hopefully wont happen any time soon pike would be a good quarterback for carolina i think he's a big time sleeper and we'll see what the future holds for him...the only reason clausen is so high and mighty is because he was a notre dame player dont look for a super bowl with him

Pike is a product of the system...plain and simple.

When he was injured, they plugged a freshman in .....and he played just as well (some say even better) than Pike did.

I am glad that Zod is making some nice cash off of these newly singed-up posters....because the rest of us are certainly paid for it.

Zod must have been recruiting down at the elementary school again.

They'll also look at the fact that he hasnt had back to back winning seasons. Fox took the Carolina job because it was his first ever head coaching job in the NFL. He also has done some questionable things, especially with Marty as GM, such as trading future draft picks, not running the ball against Buffalo who had the leagues worst run D, and continuing to let Jake throw the ball against Arizona when that obviously was the worst choice. We ran it down their throat the first drive, then we never came back to it.

personally i'm just looking forward to the upcoming season not the next offseason. I figure burn that bridge when it gets here. seems to be quite a few threads repeating themselves about the next coach, clausen over moore ect..ect.. but that goes hand and hand with the offseason. one thing is for sure, fox is coaching this season and it's moores job to loose. everybody knows, every season is different and you really can't base the upcoming season against the previous one. who would have thought miami going 1-15 would go 11-5 the next season? some of the power houses last season could fall on their face this year. but i've only posted a handful of times in the past couple years so i might not know what the hell i'm talkin about either. :)

Drafting Clausen will buy Fox 1 more year

Fox isnt going to settle for a 1 year contract. If he isnt offered a multi year deal then he will leave. Fox will receive plenty of interest from other teams even if he hasnt had back to back winning seasons.

Dont take it personal. Madhatter thinks he's the forum badass (aka he's a poser). He just needs someone to insult to make himself feel like he's really cool. After awhile you'll learn to apreciate how funny he is.

In my humble opinion, all the moves we made in the offseason don't show a lack of faith in our QB's, they were all just smart business decisions...

except the whole pike thing, i'm still not sure about that one...

That's really all you had to say McNasty!

Sensible train of thought.

I'm glad you feel qualified to quantify someone else's intelligence. I mean, sentence structure like this is envious, I agree.
