Nice read. It also speaks volumns in regards to the palyers understanding.

All you need to do is read, to know that most panther fans feel the players are not happy with richardson, the team, etc etc.

Although the players saying they do understand. I don't think the players are developing hard feelings towards the panthers at all. While they haven't gotten their extensions yet, they know richardson and hurney will do alll they can to get things done the way it should be. Patience is something most of you fellow fans show no understnading of in these situations, insisting players are upset with the front office and ownership, even when there is nothing to support that stance.

Couldn't agree more. Glad Jordan's in the locker room talking with guy's who may or may not have been a little upset with their contract situations. He's been through it and knows how straight up JR is so he's able to help the younger guy's understand what's going on. He's a major asset to the team not only on the Oline but in the PR department as well.

Wow. I don't know what y'all are reading, but it ain't all sunshine and Cheerios...

Running back DeAngelo Williams isn’t making an issue of it, but said last week, “I’d love to be here. But somebody has to show me that they want me to be here.”

Also, for those who say Chris Harris' trade was a football related move...

Fox himself suggested some uneasiness, when he spoke curtly about their “budget,” when asked about trading veteran safety Chris Harris. But Harris’ agent Albert Elias rose to their defense, insisting that the football decision-makers shouldn’t pay a price for a mandate that came from Richardson.

“This is not about Marty Hurney,” Elias said. “It hurts me to see people calling for his job, because Marty’s a class act and a smart GM.”

The Fox comment on the Harris trade isn't new news. It's been out for a while. The money issue was a main motivator for the trade, but the potential production upgrade at a lesser cost was the kicker. It was a two part deal, dump payroll, upgrade play. Don't be so short sighted.

Yeah, I know of 3 other owners that decided it was their job to delegate personnel. Al Davis, Jerry Jones, and Daniel Snyder.

Comparing Richardson to Al Davis and Jerry Jones, is just wrong on many levels. Knowing what is widely known about Richardson's interaction with coaches and players on this team, I would find it almost impossible to believe that he made this decision before conferring with both coach and GM about the quality of the players behind Harris. This is contrary to how this organization is run. Richardson put a budget restriction in place and it's up to Hurney to keep and release the players that he feels most suitable to play and at the same time be able to remain under said budget.

Can't read, or won't read?

Harris' agent said that Hurney should not be held accountable for a decision that Richardson made. The decision to trade Harris was not Fox or Hurney's idea.

That is one way to spin it.

Hurney and fox make the player personel moves.

Richardson doesn't run his team anything like the jackasses you mentioned.

I can tell from your posts though, that you fail to understand such things.

Richardson does set the "budget" and it is up to huney and fox to find a way to operate within it.

    • He's right. Tepper ain't the one out there dropping balls, or missing blocks, or putting up having comically bad drafts. He's the one responsible for hiring the people that have kept our scouting department that has been one of the worst at evaluating college talent in the NFL.  He forced the transition to the 3-4 even though we've never fully committed to it and never been able to draft or sign the players to do it.  He's the one that signed used car salesman Fat Fhule that hadn't even won a game against a ranked opponent.  Then he signed a GM that was one of if not the worst GM in the history of the NFL, only to replace him with his assistant.  Frank Reich hired and fired in 9 games. Multiple potential hires for HC turning down interviews.  Changing QBs like underwear. Personal quest to trade for a sexual predator QB and would have if the contract didnt have to be 100% guaranteed.  Terrible contracts Rock Hill debacle  2023 trade up to 1 and him and his wife drafting BY  Worst defense in NFL history. Worst record in major league sports over the time frame of his ownership and the fans need to be patient and understanding of an 8 year and counting rebuild? There being any fans left is a goddamn miracle.
