Beason, do you have any advice to give to someone who wants to be a great linebacker? I play linebacker at my highschool but am afraid I'm not good enough and will be benched. I just want to learn from the best.

This is relative to this question or anybody who is aspiring to be an athlete or anything for that matter. As a player, you can only control two things 1) desire. 2) your conditioning. I honestly believe if youhave those two things, you're head and shoulder sbaove the next guy. the guy who relies on talent will give in when he's tired. They guy who is in good shape may give in if it doesn't mean that much to him. That's my advice. Control your effort and your conditioning.

Love that response.

I figured that was you when I read "Rhys from Raleigh". XD

:D Yep. i actually asked him much better questions than the ones he answered of mine, but oh well. Interesting to hear that he thinks Duke Robinson is the funniest guy on the team.

I trend away from asking players like Beason, who know what they're doing, questions that are going to be tough to answer like CBA stuff and things about the team that you're sure to get the politically correct team answer for.

    • The powers that be were clearly NOT anticipating a noon matchup between two teams desperately trying not to be at the bottom of the ACC for this one. Luda hitting the stage at 10AM. It is way too damn early in the day to be getting that crunk to watch bad football. LOL Ya know, I honestly think I would've just cancelled it even if it meant paying him not to show.
    • Last week, the QB finished strong. Ended up with 300+ yards and 3 TDs. That wasn't good enough because it was against a "soft zone" defense, and he "failed when it mattered". This week, he made the plays he needed to and allowed the defense to dominate without taking chances. Now he didn't pass for enough yards for you. Some of you can't see how you look for the negatives. I can find negatives for every player on every team in every game. Just mindboggling to me that you're a fan of a team you don't even want to see win - unless it's on your terms. Just enjoy the win. Geez.
    • Looks like he's what CSW was to the defense in that he can line up anywhere. Week 3 he was primarily the slot, but out wide in weeks 1 & 2.
