i want him to be the QB

realistically, he's not ready YET

but, if delhomme starts out bad next year (IF he's still a panther) moore will come in

I think most of us want Moore to be the guy at some point. It's clear that he's probably not ready to start yet, but with the amount of poise and confidence he has, it's clear he's got a lot of potential.

While he may not have the best range or accuracy in the league, he's a super young QB that came with a box full of intangibles. If that's not enough to get people excited, I don't know what is. Will he turn out to be good? Maybe, but I'm glad our team isn't banking on it.

yeah i'm ready for him to play, the question is are we ready to endure the growin pains......after tonight i'm defiantly ready

We may have issues at QB, but this team, as a whole, is pretty good. I feel like we're set up to compete for a Lombardi for the next 4-5 years. We have a great offensive line (Assuming we keep Gross), a two headed monster in the backfield, and a good core of a defense that just needs to be fine tuned as far as personnel goes. (Schemes are something else though... :-/)

Endure the growing pains? Let the Lions do that. Whoever is behind center next year needs to be someone who can, at the very least, manage the game. I don't think Moore is ready to do that. If anyone, McCown probably has a better shot at being able to do it. However, I'd rather have Jake back next season than to start McCown.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
