I'm disappointed; this has been posted twice now and no one bothered to put it in the Official Huddle Beer Thread.

As I said in the other thread, I can't stand Brew Dog's marketing. They make decent beer, but I'm just tired of their edgy advertising. Just make good beer -- isn't that enough?

I played a benefit at the Porsche dealership last friday night and they auctioned off some cool stuff.

One thing being Sam Adams Uphoria, guy said it was the strongest beer made in the USA.

They also had an authentic Fat Tire bike, pretty cool.

That's Sam Adams Utopias. I'd love to try it, but at around $200 a bottle, it's well outside my price range. At 25% alcohol, it resembles a brandy more than a beer, even though it is not a distilled spirit.

yeah the dude running the event was almost suicidal, bad turnout and he pretty much gave away all his auction items.

Ha! I was going to say, he could have easily found someone over at BeerAdvocate that would have been happy to pay $150-200 for one bottle. That's unfortunate for him. But man, that is an absolute steal on those bottles.
