Thanx I shoulda looked it up. But tell Mr what has dj shown?

Even though DJ hasn't shown much it's still far surpasses what Moore has shown....

Kenneth Moore :6 catches 69 yards 9.8 average, 0 TD's

Dwayne Jarrett: 17 catches, 196 yards, 11.5 average and 1 TD

Kenny Moore's production to date is on par with what should likely be expected from him (in my opinion). On the other hand, DJ and his USC pedigree have fallen way short of my expectations as a fan. In this regard they can't be compared.

That doesn't even make sense, by that regard nobody should expect much from guys from smaller schools (I guess Edwards has no shot then).....some players especially receivers just take longer to develop, Dwayne Jarrett is still only 23, I don't think that can be stressed enough.....Yes the kid was very young and dumb when he got drafted and made poor decisions on the field and off, but he seems to have righted the mistakes and I for one think he will be a very nice surprise for Panther fans. Like I said though, if he doesn't show improvement during the preseason then by all means cut him.....

You're playing what ifs though' date=' what if KM makes the team but gets injured week one and Smitty goes down in week 3......you cant play what ifs, you take the 53 guys who you think create the best team. Because of his size and hands Dwayne is an excellent red zone target so I think he's on that list of 53. It remains to be seen if Moore is or not.....as for your question I would much rather have Edwards play over Moore, he's much more dangerous in the open field.....[/quote']

No Im thinking ahead. You got to plan for these kind of scenarios. Its called being smart. We just drafted Lafell who has alot more upside than what Jarrett has shown. It would be unwise starting a rookie out there with Jarrett if Smith should go down. However its a whole lot better starting Lafell (who is already being discussed as taking the starting spot away from Jarrett) with Smith, the oldest and best WR vet we have. If you wanna decide which vet to start your rookies with (moore or jarrett) should injuries happen, just look at what each player has shown on the field and in maturity. Jarrett hasnt shown that he can line up correctly every play and his work ethic has been questioned by Smith (our best vet) and has been called a "fairy" by one of our own coaches. Is that someone you want with your rookies?

Yes, he's playing What If...but you're playing I Have No Clue. We have no clue if Armanti can hack it as a WR in the NFL. We all need to wait until the pre-season.

Wait so you would rather Lafell start then Jarrett. Lafell who also ran a 4.6 40 and has questionable hands.....good luck with that, I personally think Lafell is going to disappoint but hey, I would love to be wrong about him....

Which coach and link because I would be willing to bet if one of our coaches is running around calling players a fairy it would have been front and center on the Observer....

No I'm playing I would rather the guy with the ability to be a bigger playmaker out there.....you have reliable hands in Jarrett to make the 3rd down catches and you have the explosiveness of Edwards to create big plays.....

I understand that Edwards was hot poo in college, scrambling as a QB. But get back to me when he proves he can do it in the NFL.

Give him Jarrett's hands and experience, and then you're getting somewhere.

Don't mark out just yet...let's let the lad play a damn game as a WR before we get hyper.

I'm not hyping the kid, I'm talking strictly from skill set. Jarrett has incredible hands and has shone the ability to go up and get the ball, take a hit and hold onto the catch. Edwards from what I have seen has the elusiveness, explosiveness and quickness to be a dangerous play maker.....from skill set alone I would rather have both over Lafell or Kenneth Moore....

    • Can't keep pining for what never happened....but for god sakes, DeJean, Frazier... and we got this dude in a R1 trade up.  The most notable blunder of this era, that's for sure.
    • Overall, fine.  Wish we landed a guy to pair with Lloyd but I presume this means they're giving Trevin one final year to put it together (72nd overall 2 years back).  Flashed potential year 1, had a dud last year.   R1: Freeling LT - Great value and a need; landed our new long term LT that could end up starting off the bat.  Icky had a terrible injury and is not playing in his contract year.  Walker is what he is on a 1-year rental, who even knows how he fits. You get premier OTs early if you can find em' and he has what you want.  I thought he could have gone as high as 6/CLE pre-draft, so am a big fan of the selection.  Looking at this class, he's one of the guys at the top that is like "okay that's the LT".  Others have this right/left or G/T type discussion about them.  Freeling is an LT.   R2: Hunter NT - We didn't really have anyone replacing A'Shawn's snaps in our rotation.  Wharton & Brown aren't 3 downers so adding Hunter to the mix fills a big void. I dug deep into S and LB this draft so was a bit to zeroed in - In recognize the value and impact add in the trenches. R3: Brazzell WR - Intriguing.  Given our history, I don't really want to place any expectations here, but a different style weapon for Bryce. I pretty much expect a WR drafted yearly with this regime. Other notables.. Hecht C - These are the type of rounds where starting centers have been found.  We got a starter for this year, but Hecht seems pretty capable and I like it for a long term find.  SOLID AF.  Wheatley S - A pretty well regarded safety prospect.  And we see it every year (like this one) safeties get hyped, people think they may go sooner than expected, and the league reminds them how it rolls.  Plenty of nice safeties have been found in the 4th-6th in recent years.  Big fan of Wheatley. Can't say I know enough about Lee or the others.
