Steve Smith: "Cardinals had me worried all week"

Believe me or not...but my mother is a teacher at Matthews Elementary, a co-worker of her's some how knows Steve Smith (neighbor of Steve's financial manager) She asked if he was going to the game and he said yes, club level, in Smitty's seats.

But he told her that when he got the tickets from him that Steve told him he was worried about Arizona and their attack and the disrespect they were receiving...he pretty much called the ass whopping.

I didn't like hearing that, since he is our OG #1, Smitty can't be "worried about the Cardinals"

We were doomed from the start.

ugh.

I think our whole team likes it better to be the underdogs, so they could see where AZ was coming from.

Let's face it, the players are humans too, they think the same way we do, they know all the same poo we know.(and more)

It isn't crazy to think like that IMO.

I have been here long enough to know what happens after bad losses (about 2-3 months, maybe longer, before the crash....and a looooong time lurker) . Just because everyone else is calling for some players/ coaches head, it doesn't mean I also have to run around with a torch and a pitchfork... hopefully, the right things will happen, and the team will be better next year.

I'd be worried too, they took us to the limit the first meeting, and everyone was expecting a blow out and they were 10 point underdogs. That is so much motivation.

Being worried doesn't mean he didn't prepare though so lets not start being stupid.

Wow, a fourth hand account of something a player may have, or may not have said in passing about an upcoming opponent, breaking... fuging... news.

    • LaMelo to Brooklyn for Nic Claxton, Drake Powell, and a pick.  Who says no?
    • Appreciate you, brother!  I know it was lengthy, but I felt whoever actually read it would appreciate it.
    • Damn good take, brother.  I think I take that poo personally because (sidebar: I don’t like to use narcissist often because social media has made it a buzzword and diluted the meaning, so when I use it, I don’t take it lightly) I grew up in a home with a raging narcissist, then married a narcissist and just came out of a divorce after a 20 year marriage with her, where afterwards she met and married another narcissist.🤣  And in my dealings with them, over my 41 years on this earth, at times I took great delight in breaking down their arguments point by point and forcing them to either acknowledge their wrongs and take ownership of them or watch them yammer and stammer away when they ran out of lies and excuses.  At various points, that was extremely satisfying, but ultimately, which I’ve realized especially after the last 3 years and going through the divorce and everything, it does NOTHING to them.  It doesn’t affect them one way or another.  For a logical, reasonable, grounded person, you would think calling them in their poo will bring it to their attention when they’re face when nothing but facts and truth and force them to change, but nope.  Not in the slightest.  They just disassociate from the ones who do that and find more people who will validate their behaviors and thinking.  poo pisses me off because they’re so destructive and couldn’t care less so long as their needs are met.
